Stocks in the Nordic region declined Tuesday, with the OMX Nordic 40 Index declining 0.1%.

GN Store Nord A/S posted the largest decline during the session, declining 6.3%, followed by Alleima AB shares, which dropped 4.1%. Shares of Frontline PLC dropped 4.0%.

Truecaller AB Series B was the biggest leader, gaining 7.8%, and OX2 AB rose 7.2%. Norsk Hydro ASA rounded out the top three leaders on Tuesday, with shares adding 7.1%.

In Denmark, the OMX Copenhagen 20 Index dropped 0.6%, while the OMX Helsinki 25 Index, which tracks Finland's most-traded stocks, gained 0.6%.

Stocks on Sweden's OMX Stockholm 30 Index increased 0.3%, and Norway's Oslo Exchange Benchmark Index_GI rose 0.5%. Shares in Iceland were flat, with the OMX Iceland All-Share PI Equity Index holding steady at 2,301.82.

Elsewhere in Europe, indexes were mixed, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index falling 0.3% and the FTSE 100 Index steady from the previous close.

Stock indexes in Asia were mixed, with Japan's NIKKEI 225 Index down 0.1% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.5%.

In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures were down 0.6%, while gold futures were up 0.1%. Bitcoin fell 1.2% to $39,393.

On the currency front, the WSJ Dollar Index rose 0.2% to 98.20.

Against the euro, the U.S. dollar was up 0.5%, the Norwegian krone was up 0.3%, the Icelandic krona was up 0.1%, the Swedish krona was up 0.1%, and the Danish krone was flat.
