Technip Energies NV said Tuesday that it was awarded a contract to convert TotalEnergies SE's refinery in France into a zero-crude platform focused on sustainable aviation fuels.
The contract covers the engineering, procurement services and construction assistance for the conversion of the Grandpuits refinery, southeast of Paris.
Once operational, the plant will be able to produce 210,000 tons a year of sustainable fuel from feedstock such as used cooking oil and animal fat.
The financial amount of the contract was not disclosed.
