BPER Banca SpA said Thursday that the European Central Bank gave the go-ahead for the acquisition of branches and legal relationships from Intesa Sanpaolo SpA.
The divestment is part of Intesa's deal to take over Unione di Banche Italiane SpA. BPER Banca said the acquisition consists of 532 Intesa branches and legal relationships.
