City of London (LSE: CLIG), a leading specialist asset management group offering a range of institutional and retail products investing primarily in closed-end funds, announces that the Company's Employee Benefit Trust purchased 12,803 ordinary shares of 1p each on 23 May 2023 at a price of GBP4.399086 per share.

Following these purchases, the Trust holds 1,939,355 ordinary shares in the Company representing 3.8% of the Company's issued capital, of which 1,003,944 (2.0% of the Company's issued capital) is held in custody for employees under the terms of the Employee Incentive Plan (EIP).
