Fund (the "Fund") (AMEX:FDL) today declared its regularly scheduled
quarterly distribution of $.20 per share.
Based on the Fund's market price of $20.49 on June 19, 2006, the
Fund's regular distribution equates to an annualized distribution rate
of 3.90%.
The distribution will be payable on June 30, 2006 to shareholders
of record on June 27, 2006, with an expected ex-dividend date of June
23, 2006. The final determination of the source and tax status of all
distributions paid in 2006 will be made after the end of 2006.
The Fund is a series of the First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund, an
investment company and an exchange-traded "index fund" designed to
seek investment results that correspond generally to the price and
yield (before the Fund's fees and expenses) of an equity index called
the Morningstar(R) Dividend Leaders(sm) Index.
First Trust Advisors L.P. acts as the fund's investment adviser
and currently manages or supervises approximately $25 billion in
assets.
