Touchstone Wins Two Health, Safety & Environment Awards from Petrotin

Touchstone Exploration Inc. ("Touchstone" or the "Company") (TSX / LSE: TXP), an onshore oil and gas exploration and production company active in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded two awards at the Petrotin 5(th) Annual Production Health, Safety and Environment ("HSE") Leadership Forum.

The Forum provides an opportunity to review and recognize the HSE performance of Petrotrin's 18 Production Alliances as part of the Company's ongoing thrust to develop a Beyond HSE Compliance Culture throughout its operations.

Touchstone won first place in the large operator category for 'Leadership Engagement in HSE Management'. The criteria used to assess this award was based on leadership site visits, HSE committee meetings and closure of non-conformances for all of which Touchstone met with the highest standard.

In addition to this award, Touchstone also won second place in the 'Gathering Station Health, Safety and Environment Compliance Assessment' which measures whether companies' facility and equipment and HSE documentation and records matches the necessary criteria. It also looks at companies' compliance to the Petroleum Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, Environmental Management Act, Oil Tank Regulations and Ministry Code of Practice.
