Not necessarily. It all depends on the imiinent set of results. VTO have certainly been struggling to hit break even and their market was tough, but some the three businesses were looking okay. You might be aware that they implemented a series of drastic cost-cutting exercises in order to conserve their dwindling cash supply. For me it all boils down to whether they're at or almost at break even - if they are and can report continuing growth, then this could be a high reward recovery share. If not, then unless financing can be secured, it's hard to see them not being beaten in the race for commerciality.

As with so many fledglings, this could be another strangled shortly after birth. Although, I'd be very surprised if we couldn't secure financial assistance from Per Ragnar Thannar from whom VTO originally bought the CTS.

Are you feeling lucky?

Chart up about 20% on only declared sells - MMs playing games (surely not I hear you all say!) or perhaps a significant Buy order being filled. Previously, Per Ragnar Tanner has made some chunky purchases.

Unfortunately, VTO has been an info vacuum in recent months. The VTO website appears to no longer exist, although the the VTO portfolio appears to be covered on the apparently healthy websites for Silvandersson and Valiguard. Difficult to know how Cryonite is doing, but in previous results Silv and Vali appeared okay - hopefully we should get an update in the next 6 weeks or so, which should confirm the efficacy of the drastic cost-saving measures previously instigated.

If VTO can survive these difficult times, I still maintain that Cryonite could be very big.

Interesting to see a little more interest in VTO, with another share price rise. As followers will know, it's traditionally been grave-like here - what could be the cause of the rise? I wouldn't be surprised if VTO were bought back by the original cryonite owners at a fraction of it's original sale price.

Interesting to hear of the pesticide case just announced. Can this help VTO in time?

Just come across the recent bedbugs article, from 'The Week':-

"britons returning from theirholidays last week may not have been alone says The Times: it seems that our trains, buses, planes and coaches are increasingly infested with bedbugs. In the last year Rentokil has seen a 40% rise in transport-related call-outs - and two-thirds of those concerned bedbugs. An increasingly mobile population may be to blame, along with cost-cutting by carriers. bedbugs thrive in small spaces, such as the creases in seats. A good vacuum cleaner should pick them up, but with budgets stretched and turnaround times increasingly short, cleaning may not be as thorough as it should be. "Recently, on an underground train in S London, I pulled apart the upholstery and found at least four months of dirt and debris," said david cain, MD of Bed-bugs.co.uk. Adult bedbugs are about a quarter of an inch long, and light tan in colour, although they turn reddish after feeding on blood. In most people, their bites cause an intensely itchy swelling, with a pale or white centre."

All good publicity if only we can get the VTO name in the frame.

Flippin' 'eck, I'm itching all over after typing that grim tale!

I keep seeing articles about bed-bugs and yet we hear no news about business progress for VTO. Whilst I'm not one for inceesant RNSs, VTO really do take the principle of 'reporting only when newsworthy' to the extreme.

Hi Mux,

No idea I'm afraid - as you know, VTO do tend towards minimalist reporting. That said, I would have hoped to get some feedback before too long bearing in mind the distinct switch in manufacture and marketing of the cryonite systems.

Stefan is normally amenable to calls to his mobile - last time I chatted for a while and felt more reassured, despite the cost of the call!

I am wary of averaging down, again, on VTO, but that sort of progress would be a trigger to buy more.
I think VTO are so far under the radar at the moment, written off, poor results, poor product take up, share price slide from 80p to 6p, that I should be able to nip in early on the back of good news to buy some without paying too much of a premium.
If the company does have a future, let's say it is still trading in 18 months then the share price will have a long way to go from here.

He better get busy down at the patent office to register your excellent idea!

Spoke at length with SH today - he seemed pretty positive about the current business situation and was particularly keen to emphasise the significant cost-cutting that has taken place in the current FY so far, which will really begin to yield benefits over the coming year. He feels that the termination of the Linde arrangement should work out for the best and that the equipment buyback from Linde was on good terms. On the matter of cashflow, he was able to provide reassurance he foresees no problems in the near future providing that the Company aren't assailed by significant unexpected additional financial pressures. He feels that we have passed the most difficult times and was optimistic about the future.

I offered a number of ideas concerning the potential wider marketing of the Cryonite system in particular - one potential field of application could be absolutely enormous and if possible could help make VTO a hundred bagger IMHO.

At last we've got a little more info!

Results pretty much in-line with my expectations.
I suppose that one's stance very much depends on the value assigned to the positive spiel on outlook and whether there will be sufficient upturn to outstrip cashburn. One noticeable difference on the balance sheet is the sizeable increase in inventory; presumably this should help with the cashburn.

I remain convinced of the potential of the Company and really do believe that if it can sort out the sales and cashflow then it could quite easily be at 100p in a relatively short time.

It appears that we need to secure a major cryonite business deal from the significant interest shown - the Silv and Sika elements seem to be doing well already.

Like so many fledglings, VTO offer significant risks but tremendous potential returns. On the basis that much of my investment here is effectively written off here, I've little to lose by holding on and perhaps even averaging down by doubling.
