Is £30k a record for the lowest amount ever raised in a share placing.

NB - that is BEFORE expenses.

Why not just do a loan from the directors???

Very bad sign...............

This share has massive takeover potential, though nowhere near being a market leader, the current market leaders PowerLeague and Goals currently run 34 and 33 pitches each respectively with both having far greater market caps than SOC.L modest 0.5mln and the extra 4 facilities that Soccercity run would give either a slight edge in terms of the size of their facilities, plus the extra customer base that Soccercity has which in the year ended 2006 brang in £2m in sales revenue which is a lot better than the £0.70m registered in 2004. How many businesses get massive increases in sales revenue within just 2-3 years. With adequate funding behind it this company would become more consolidated or even better could be a juicy takeover target for either Powerleague or Goals. DYOR

the complete lack of volume means the shares move lower ; 3 - 3.5p now, fine, spread is more reasonable like this i guess. hopefully the world cup now in sight may help rekindle interest in these companies (PWR abd GOAL of course the main players); here's hoping................ can't really see why trading at SOC should be weakening at moment and going forward

i'm not sure, certainly they have had to re-finance themselves and I don't think they get offered too much by way of working capital - the last i saw was that Coors was it ?(US beer group) has leant them 150 k or something ! i think the financial side is sensitive but they are cash flow positive (just) so can fend for themselves without help - just ! they want to expand their number of centres (fair enough) but not sure where they will get the funding from ? existing shareholders might be only route which would dilute the price further ...but then maybe a consolidation ? perhaps dilutory fears keep the shares low ? but as I say, any buying at all sees them higher as tiny as the buying is - look at today's volume for a 14% rise on the day !...pe of 2 on who's numbers ??
