TEMM. But what does the HUME insider say about his own company. Worth buying or not?

David Lenigas (DL) is a non exec director of Octagonal (OCT) who have bought 3% of HUME. DL set up Lenigas Oil (LGO) and has recently stepped down as Chairman but remains major shareholder of LGO. DL has many fingers in AIM pies such as REM, AFRI, SOLO to name but a few.
Have been a LTH of LGO and invested in OCT a few months ago.
Hope helps...

TAKEOVER talk....

hxxp://www.scoop.it/t/aim-market-gossip

It has been widely reported that AJ Gallagher is in exclusive acquisition talks with Hume Capital Plc formerly Xcap Securities and a deal is expected in the coming weeks. It is understood that there are others interested in the business, including Marsh and Towergate, but they are someway behind Gallagher in terms of finalising a deal. The acquisition would follow the high-profile deals Gallagher struck last autumn for brokers Giles and Belmont. The Giles acquisition alone pushed Gallagher into a market-leading position, with the newly combined operation boasting some 70 offices and 3,100 staff across the UK.
According to Humes last filed annual report, their revenue increased 22% to GBP3.5 million.
It is thought that David Taylor, an existing shareholder of Hume who has worked closely with the new finance director,is keen himself to own Hume and recently took a 20.44% stake in the company will fight for the ownership of the company and fight the muted 3p share offer that is rumoured to be on the table.
Neither Gallagher nor Oval have made any direct comment upon these rumours.

INVESTMENT MANAGER Hume Capital Securities has appointed a new finance director amid a raft of board changes, following a review.

David Barrow, a former FD at David Taylor Partnerships with experience in refinancing and restructuring, joins with immediate effect as finance director, and replaces Mike Frame who will remain with the company with responsibility for risk management and will assist with the handover.

Hume said it has also promoted its corporate head to succeed former chief executive Nitin Parekh, who resigned in May amid a review of the company's finances and efforts to restructure the business and cut costs.

David Taylor, an existing shareholder of Hume who has worked closely with the new finance director, will subscribe for 425.1 million new shares, which will raise £425,000 and give Taylor a 20.44% stake in the company.

Barrow qualified as a chartered accountant in 2008 before moving into industry. He led the budgeting and forecasting functions in the finance department of Victrex between 2010 and 2012, subsequently worked as FD designate for Recycling Lives, a privately owned recycling and waste management company, before joining David Taylor Partnerships and a variety of David Taylor's investee companies as FD in March 2013.

Hume Capital Securities was formed from the merger of an asset management business established in 2007 - with a team managing hedge funds, pooled funds for clients of IFAs and separate accounts, with an independent, relationship led, full service capital markets business admitted to trading on AIM in 2010.

RNS: 28 May 2014
Interim results for the six months ended 28 February 2014
Hume (AIM: HUME) (together with its subsidiaries the "Group"), presents its unaudited results for the six months ended 28 February 2014.
Highlights:
· Revenues for the period of £3.5 million (H1 2013: £2.9 million)
· Cost cutting efforts that commenced in 2013 are now being reflected in the Group's Income Statement, with administrative expenses falling to £4.2 million (H1 2013: £4.7 million);

The share price over the past months reflects the poor performance of this AIM tiddler, I think I'll save my pennies for a better investment.

X-CAP now renamed Hume capital
from iii
"interesting company and if you look at their website some very high powered people now on board- don't like the spread though, however- bought a few million as a gamble as have seem their name associated with a few aim companies recently and if they pull of a few placings ,maybe with indian companies-or others could be a fast mover.

The big names and a large institutional shareholding attracted me a I can't see why they would be aboard if their was not something in the offing which if it happens will shoot the share price higher.

I was on board quindell when they were 2p and I am amazed where they are now and never thought they would be anything near todays share price
Will anyone join me on board for the ride it will be interesting one way or the other and you can be share millionaire quite cheaply".

Results out soon.
