Posted at 29/8/2008 11:47 by tiredoldbroker Well, it's September in a couple of days, and far from being the 4p or 5p that powertrader suggested in post 427, they aren't even 0.1p.I have to ask how digging (post 432) can suggest the company is to publish results and a business update, given that it's 29 Aug now and their Interims to 30.4.08 only came out on 31 July ! I would suggest that the only thing that's kept the company in business is the bankers' decision to cap the invoice discounting facility; this prevented HLL from building huge stocks ahead of what's turned out to be a really poor summer season. Of course, with 2.3 billion shares in issue, it's fascinating to see anyone suggest a price target of 25-28p, which would value this unsuccessful ice cream maker at £600-650 million - or do I smell a really low quality ramp ? There's no value left here for existing equity holders; the VCTs which hold the June 2008 Loan Stock have the rest of you over a barrel. Look at the terms - after 6 months, to be repaid with a 200% redemption premium and interest at 18%; the company to then issue shares to the value of £1m "at a subscription price to be set by mutual agreement" which you know even now is going to be a fraction of a fraction of a penny, leaving the VCTs with almost all the stock. So maybe one or two rampers image they can drive up the price of the equity stub, but only if they can find suckers. Why not just do an honest days' work, instead of imagining your cut-price penny-ha'penny spivvery will get you anywhere ? |
Posted at 29/8/2008 10:11 by 8trader I'd ignore digging, he was pump and dumping HLL a short while agoon this thread and will dump IMTE at any point. A lot of people lost a lot of money in HLL on the last pump and dump. |
Posted at 17/6/2008 22:10 by market maker2 i already know the facts thankyou, this company of late has been on its knees for the last few months (hence the price) but now they have been given a golden lifeline and things are looking up. I posted here only today at about 12.30pm, saying how quiet it is, then 1 mill buy came along, then the RNS was released, then u turn up. U are like a leach on society get a life stop harping on.If anyone wants to know where 8trader will be posting tomorrow, thats simple look at the top 5 gainers and he will be deramping like mad as normal!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who is he thats simple too, he used to be on radio 1 with steve wright in the afternoon many years ago (he played MR ANGRY) |

Posted at 17/6/2008 18:35 by 8trader Jotoha1.The point i'm making is you have pulled out some silly figures on other stocks where the market caps are way out, i'm sure you know this because when i've pointed it out you dont accept it. With Smc the market cap was 40 mil at 10p and you say it's worth 40p or somehow adding 120 mil to the market cap for a company making around 4 mil. Lets keep it real eh...advfn market cap is so wrong (again) it questions the fact that claim to have 50p+ staff working for them, you would think they could get one of them spending a week checking all the voting rights of every penny stock and correcting them. So instead of Hll being worth just 1 mil which would make it look attractive after the trading update it's worth over 6 times as much which completely throws the value out of the window. Sure it might come good but for now it's fully priced..imho and dyor. |
Posted at 17/6/2008 16:46 by garbut Hill Station plc ("Hill Station" or the "Company") Financing and Trading update The Board of Hill Station plc ("Board"), the manufacturer of premium branded and private-label ice creams, today releases the following update. Financing update Further to the announcement on 2 April 2008 that the Company's bankers intended to cap the amount of their invoice discounting facility at £1.1 million which was below the amount that the then level of debtors would support in a normal invoice discounting relationship. This meant that the proposed inventory build, normal in Spring, needed to be scaled back. Accordingly the Board entered into discussions with alternative invoice discount facility providers and key shareholders with a view to obtaining alternative financing. The Board is pleased to announce that a new invoice discounting facility has now been agreed and is in operation with Cattles Invoice Finance Ltd. The maximum funding limit under the facility is £3 million. The facility is secured by a fixed and floating charge over the assets of the Group. Various fees relating to set up, servicing and utilisation are payable in respect of the facility. Interest on the used facility will be charged at 2.5 per cent. above the base rate. The initial term of the facility is 3 years and may be terminated by either party with six months notice. The Board wishes to express its thanks to Merchant Securities plc for introducing Cattles to the Company. The Board is also pleased to report that additional support from shareholders in the form of £500,000 of new Loan Stock repayable in 6 months has been agreed subject to contract. A further announcement regarding this will be made once the formal documentation has been signed. The sales in April and May were significantly below expectations due to the capped invoice discounting facility. On 30 April 2008, we announced that the Company had been successful at gaining new business with large retail and wholesale customers and that the Board's other new business objectives of recovering raw material price increases, improvement in factory efficiencies and reduction in business overheads had been secured. The Board is pleased to report that the factory is now regularly achieving record levels of production as stocks are being rebuilt. Given the Company has recently won the Grocer Magazine's award for Best Frozen Food Manufacturer 2007, which was a difficult period in the Company's history, the Board is more than encouraged by current manufacturing performance which it believes augers well for the future. The outcome for the first half of the year being the 6 months to 30 April 2008 is encouraging with EBIT being in line with management expectations notwithstanding the difficulties caused by the cash constraints arising from the bank's decision to cap the factoring facility. The warmer Summer months normally represent the Company's strongest selling period. Trading conditions remain challenging but management continues to drive the Board's four key objectives as set out in the announcement of 30 April. The Company's cash flow and cash resources will continue to be closely monitored. Getting finance in place in these markets means someones confident of making a return. I particularly like this part ot the RNS. The Board is pleased to report that the factory is now regularly achieving record levels of production as stocks are being rebuilt. Given the Company has recently won the Grocer Magazine's award for Best Frozen Food Manufacturer 2007. This is the first part of the RNS |
Posted at 20/5/2008 16:16 by tiredoldbroker jotoha1, the connection is that post 388 on THIS thread is Chancre6 pumping another of her ramps, in the hope of misleading investors, and I'm making the point that she has a truly disastrous track record. Nothing to do with HLL, just an attempt to help people avoid getting rooked. |

Posted at 26/1/2005 10:50 by spaceparallax I feel sad in seeing the drastic fall of the share price I WOULD like to see HLL succeed; having lost a little before selling out @8.5p and retaining only a peppercorn interest. Good luck HLL, but sort out the MARKET & THE MARKETTING.What saddens me more however, is the rubbish spouted by Agincourt on the other thread. He accuses Haystack of being mentally ill, but I suspect this is a case of 'none so blind as those who cannot see'. For a person with no interest in a share, Agincourt goes to an awful lot of time and trouble posting on his pet thread and gagging others (me) who like to voice pragmatic views. I suspect that he IS very upset by the demise in the HLL share price but simply can't admit it. |
