my share certificate feels like monopoly money at the moment

can FSA (or any body else) do any thing? some of share holders must have lost lot of money.
seems quite clever to take over a company by issuing worthless share certificate without paying anything.

i asked them to buy these shares and has received following reply today

The company has no plans to undertake any share buyback activities. We continue to work towards achieving liquidity in the shares, and should have some progress to report on this in the near future

e-mail from ian dated 4/3/11
We are currently preparing an update to shareholders, which will be filed with the SEC in the next few weeks. Once this is filed it will be available on the SEC website, where you can access all current publically available information on the company. The link to the SEC website is below

I also refer you to the Pink Sheets website, where you can obtain information on share price and trading activity

The trading symbol is GBVI.

I guess this is equivalent to at least 50p in old ADSL share price terms.

a convertible bond with a conversion of 1 share per bond @40% of the current share price at the time of conversion, albeit paying an 8% coupon, priced (and selling!) for $10 (yes $10)
some simplistic calculations - to be worth buying that $10 'option' to convert at 40% of share price needs to be worth more than $10. so, 40% of the share price is equal or greater than $10 .....
of course one needs to acount for the coupon etc., but you cans ee why I am happier now than I was.
Note: this is fact and the bonds (technicaly pref shares) ARE selling at $10

on the face of it this seems a great deal and a chance for some easy money - however... If I buy some ADSL stock and then this gets converted to Yarraman exactly how do I sell these?? - I cant via my normal route, plus even if I could sell them easily the fact that these are very illiquid means that a sudden hike in activity by investors to realise their profits would have a good change of collapsing the share price disproportionatly - reducing/wiping out profit - is this not correct??

I would really have to rely on the ADSL share price getting to the target before conversion - judging by the share price action this may not happen

interesting to see how this plays out
