I got a dividend cheque this morning, 0.66p per share. The enclosed note states that this represents the return of all material value to shareholders and no further dividends will be paid. Looks like the end of the story.

Wish I knew the status of this company. I tried emailing the address on their website, but this was their reply:

"All ACMH queries should be directed to Glenn Kennedy, glenn@abcapman.com as Xanthus Asset Management has been operating as a separate entity for over 2 years. "

I don't really know what this means. I tried emailing Glenn but there has been no response. Aren't companies supposed to provide information to their shareholders?

this was always a going concern. they delisted to save costs and at the same time offered a share buyback (at a rediculously low price) to allow holders to get rid of their shares easily. the biggest shareholders declined to take part (which was my reasoning, coupled with the fact that I would have got about peanuts back). there is supposed to an "internal" market to sell shares on (wonder what they are NOW valued at?). i suspect that they will continue to trade, pay divis (to give the shareholders a return) and, if market conditions rebound, re-list somewhere.

I think there's a box on the tax return to enter your dividends. Normal UK dividends come with a 10% tax credit which means there's no additional tax to pay if you're a basic rate taxpayer (there is extra if you're on the higher rate). The ACMH divi is gross so there will be tax to pay on this.

Very odd... mine doesn't say any of that! No tax deduction for me, I got the full 7p per share.

I tried emailing the co to try to find out what this dividend is but there has been no response. I have noticed the main acmh website has changed though in the last week but no info there. The xanthus site hasn't had the fund performance updated since April, hardly a sign of a thriving business. I think they've just called it a day.

Well this would be an epic turnaround I dont think theyd pay cash out for no reason, to be honest only had a small amount in there but at quite a low level so 7p would be nearly 3 times what I paid for them

Do you know when the ex-div date was I first bought ACMH on 3rd Feb 2009

Many thanks

I think acmh have a motive to get rid of lots of shares at current price to get investors worried resulting in substantial sells to benefit in lots of profit from shareholder losses. If my inkling is correct... they will continue on AIM after june 1st and at some point ACMH will rise NORTH gradually.

I willl not sell my shares and be here long term if i am right to assume the above will happen.

currypata kai. i totally agree with you in this current market acmh will not get a buyer. NO chance. From my understanding acmh are offering 2.5 p for each share BUT close to de listing time commonly what happens is the balance sheets show negative equity leaving us shareholders with a figure of zero. zero zero!

Please guys advise are we best to sell these @ current price or wait and recieve nothing?? my opinion sell and gain some of your cash than nothing?

other site (post 13.13h by starydynamo)

a good summary IMO:

the fall was because ACMH have invested in some shares =like penny shares= that are easy to buy but difficult to sell=
HOMM had previously been in another group and he was fined by German Regulators==

A lot of the funds and investments ACMH businesses HOMM had a hand in running.

He left saying everyone to blame not him, he sells most of his shares at a price so low that it seems to show that he comes from a very rich and powerful German family, and does not care about a few million ££££££ =and he gave shares to settle his divorce with his wife,
to show his arrogance he walks away from everything, and by his actions seems to say ==money is nothing to him, he can afford to throw money away,

ACMH very quickly get someone who has the backing and respect of the fund managers, Andeas Railas buys the 10 million shares HOMM has, leaving HOMM with 4million== HOMM is history,== BUT HE and ACMH might be sued in the future because of the way some shares and the type of shares bought, The new management and old management know this=

The facts are out there, they have per share 30p cash and value from the business they bought 150p total 180p ==if as i expect the share price will keep going up there is a lot of serious big money to be made at this low price, and all the bad shares they have, they have one year to sell them, and some will make money, others will be kept, and it might be they do so well that 475p will come again or it might go away above that,

if this management can get the price above 470p then noone will bother to sue them,BUT in one years time the price is only 300p or less 120p or 70p or less, then there is a very good chance they will be sued====so what we as shareholders have, is a share that it is in everyones interest to see going up==they have one year==so you and i have one year= =then when one year nearly up=
=i will decide if i should sell=
=until then this might be the one share that will make me a lot of money=

There will be some very rich people who invested in ACMH and lost millions, they will have their lawyers looking at who to sue, and they may wait will see how far this share price will rise or fall before they decide to sue or not.

I think this share has one year to rise in value, like the people in the funds, i will wait, after that it is then the time to decide to sell Or keep hold of ACMH

Open Letter From Florian Homm to Absolute Capital Management Holding Limited Shareholders and Investors

PALMA DE MALLORCA, Spain, September 18 /PRNewswire/ --

To: ACMH Shareholders and Investors

In the recent market, I have become concerned with the performance of certain of our funds. My dedication to ACMH's investors is such that, I donated 5 million shares of ACMH, worth approximately EUR33 million to the funds last month. This move was consistent with other firms in the industry which have contributed their own capital in order to help investors ride out the instability in the markets. As a result of my actions, those funds ended up positive or neutral for the month.

Also, I have forgone my bonus this year with the intention to share it with the many investment professionals at ACMH. My belief is that it is important for the ACMH to invest in its profit generators, not in non-producing management.

However, the Board of ACMH did not agree with my arguments that ACMH needs to pay adequate compensation to retain top-level fund managers nor did they follow my lead in sacrificing personal bonuses and compensation, or in contributing ACMH shares to the funds.

It is apparent that I share a different investment and management philosophy from the current and prior management of ACMH. Therefore, I have decided that it is time that I left the company I founded to focus on other pursuits. I am resigning effective Wednesday, 19th September 2007. I want investors and shareholders to know that I do not intend to start another fund or compete with ACMH. In fact, I remain the largest single shareholder in ACMH - with my ex-wife and children also holding substantial stakes - and I intend to continue to fight for shareholder value in ACMH and hope to contribute in that role in anyway I can.

I want to thank all of you for your support over the years. I hope that my leaving ACMH will force management to realise that its most important assets are its highly skilled investment professionals. It is my hope that they will grant them the freedom to make their decisions and carry on my legacy of returning superior performance to investors and shareholders alike.

Yours sincerely,

Florian Homm
