Morally thanks for the info; what I mean is will the share price go down once the special dividend is paid out (ignoring the effect of the share consolidation exercise)? Buying now I'll be entitled to the special dividend I agree but will my BCI shares go down by a proportionate amount to reflect the BCI special dividend?

Underperforming slightly now due to tech recovery. Tech's go up cement goes down.

I like BCI cos they bought Heracles which should provide lots of materials for the Athens Olympics plus LaFarge still own a large chunk and may bid again after May next year. I bought at 427p and will hold for now. Currently looks fully priced when looking at the chart.

I don't understand your question; shareholders as of 18th Decmeber 2000 qualify.

Is BCI worth buying now for the special dividend? Can anyone advise?
