UK unemployment rate rose in July

In the UK, unemployment rate registered a rise to 4.10% in July, in line with market expectations and compared to a rate of 3.90% in the prior month.

UK average earnings including bonus fell less than expected in July

In the UK, average earnings including bonus fell 1.00% on a YoY basis in July, compared to a drop of 1.20% in the previous month. Markets were expecting average earnings to record a drop of 1.30%.

Euro-zone economic sentiment index rose in September

In the Euro-zone, the economic sentiment index climbed to a level of 73.90 in September, compared to a reading of 64.00 in the prior month.

US industrial production rose less than expected in August

In the US, industrial production advanced 0.40% on a MoM basis in August, compared to a revised rise of 3.50% in the prior month. Markets were expecting industrial production to record an advance of 1.00%.

US NY Empire State manufacturing index advanced in September

In the US, the NY Empire State manufacturing index jumped to a level of 17.00 in September, compared to a level of 3.70 in the prior month. Markets were anticipating the index to rise to a level of 6.00.
