The voting process took place between January and April 2018, and the votes were cast
electronically from the magazine's subscribers. This year the
voting process received approximately 28,000 votes in total. The
specific award-category was an extremely competitive one, as it
included leading CEOs from other Insurance companies in
Europe, such as Axa and
Zurich who received the 2nd and
3rd place respectively.
Ms. Marianna Politopoulou took over as Chairman of BoD & CEO
of NN Hellas in May 2016 and has
completed, since then, a challenging turnaround which led to the
establishment of a new corporate culture, record high sales and
increased value for the company' shareholders. Her results-driven
management profile, alignment with NN values and ability to connect
with people with consistency and transparency are the primary
reasons European Business Magazine readers voted for Ms.
Politopoulou among strong competition from other countries.
Since 1998, Ms. Marianna Politopoulou has held several CEO &
General Manager level positions in Greece and abroad at, amongst others, EFG
Eurobank, Inchape Hellas Group, Credit Agricole Indosuez
Luxembourg, and National Bank of Greece. Her expertise derives from her
extensive and diverse senior management experience and profound
knowledge of the financial industry.
