WASHINGTON--U.S. business inventories rose 0.6% in February to a seasonally adjusted $1.929 trillion, the Commerce Department said Monday.
The gain matched expectations of economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal.
Manufacturers' inventories increased 0.3% in February from the prior month, while retail inventories rose 0.4%, and wholesale inventories increased 1%.
The data were adjusted for seasonal variations but not inflation.
Business inventories advanced 4% from a year earlier in February.
