17/8/2010 11:29 | What is the timescale of this offer? Ie when paid etc? | mali7
05/8/2010 09:39 | Should have checked that they were floated. It didn't occur to me. Exit price looks fair given the history. Shame outside investors won't get a chance to stay for the ride. | sbs
05/8/2010 06:47 | Only got a third of holding left; in spite of this high final bid, the directors have behaved reprehensively IMO. | spectoacc
07/7/2010 10:14 | Sold some more; sod's law if the bid now comes in high, but the wait's been just ridiculous. | spectoacc
25/6/2010 11:09 | :) Thanks gents; still think it's low-ball if it comes in at about 87p, but would just be glad to leave this idiot share behind - "talks" ongoing forever, far more detail of them in the press than in RNS's. Have sold a few ahead of any bid too, having been continually disappointed so far. | spectoacc
22/6/2010 11:32 | Seems to be everywhere! | nellie1973
22/6/2010 08:10 | spec - you seem to be a bit lonely. Hope it comes good for you | evox
21/6/2010 12:44 | Think they said £75m, which isn't much of a premium - sounded pretty advanced, but then you'd expect so after well over a year of bid talks! Works out at about 87p I guess, but p/e of 11 doesn't seem like much. Article said TimeWarner were interested because some of Shed's productions (eg Who Do You Think You Are) had transfered successfully to the US. | spectoacc
21/6/2010 11:32 | Specto Would you mind giving the rough content of the story or any prices rumoured in the times as I am not a subscriber. Thanks | alchemy30
21/6/2010 09:27 | SHDP, the co that only RNS's once the Sunday Times have leaked something. TimeWarner they're saying; strewth, I'd be so glad to see the back of this company. | spectoacc
08/6/2010 08:57 | "Shed Media plc ("Shed" or the "Company") Offer update On 14 December 2009, the Company announced that it had received an indicative approach regarding an offer for the Company from a consortium formed by funds managed and/or advised by Bowmark Capital LLP and Darwin Private Equity LLP working with certain members of Shed management. The independent directors announce that all discussions with these private equity funds in this regard have now ceased. However, the independent directors confirm that the Company remains in an offer period having received a proposal from a potential offeror, working with certain members of Shed management, which may or may not lead to an offer being made for the Company." Are they winding us up? Is this an excuse to spend another 2yrs in an offer period? Sunday Times ran a piece on SHDP saying there should be a "put up or shut up" - and this is the response? Pathetic. | spectoacc
19/3/2010 09:54 | Well, I was certainly wrong about the "..Almost upon us". That was 3 months ago; the bid saga itself is now 13 months old. Just how long does it take? Financing must be easier now, and if they're not going for it, surely should have declared as such. | spectoacc
16/12/2009 16:35 | Aim not the place for media co. Not surprised that Shed decided to follow Tinopolis and RDF out of here. Shame as it would have been a great place for these co. if the market played ball. Good co. interesting that 40% of revenues come from the US. Would have liked to see a merger rather than an MBO with ? Tinopolis/RDF TT | toptrump
16/12/2009 13:17 | One post in 16 months before mine; odd, when been bid interest since Feb 09. Oh well - seems only me interested in these, will keep fingers crossed for 100p+ bid in next few weeks. | spectoacc
14/12/2009 14:25 | The saga of the never-ending bid approach. Think rejected one was at 100p; does that mean they're coming back better, or the fact the main two p/e bidders have joined forces mean they might come in lower than that? Either way, the endgame must be almost upon us by now, & my guess is 100p+. | spectoacc
03/8/2009 07:50 | Shed ahead - news story from GCI | investinggarden

08/4/2008 15:53 | "results for the 16 month period to 31 December 2007, scheduled for late April 2008" No dates appearing on the www site. Yawn | fuiseog
28/1/2008 21:18 | it would need to be "eternal" lol | bruce the worry bear
15/1/2008 20:29 | they have just got a commission for a new series called "hope springs" - could be a new title for this thread? | bigbertie
17/4/2007 09:43 | Any thought on this stock | chatterbox
01/3/2007 10:46 | This is a growth stock, and this year more good news will emerge. Also remember one large share holder was filling up at about 120p and further director purchases after last final results. Now below 100p, the PE is cheap now and you can once again get in this one. By the way resent news from China, made this stock drop from about 105p to 95p, but how would the new law chnages affect this stock? Or an oppertunity to buy? (DYOR) | mali7
24/8/2006 22:48 | maybe they have a new one in teh pipeline...nudge nudge wink wink | joe moon |
