L200 - The AIM listing has been cancelled because they did not have a Nomad, therefore there is no market for the shares. If they could find another Nomad (unlikely that they would pass any Nomad's due diligence)they could relist but would need to issue a prospectus etc which they can't really afford to do. I don't know whether they could get the shares listed on any overseas exchange.

The UK operation seems to have been mothballed as the FSA has restricted their authorisation so they can only close existing deals and can't take on new business.

They seem to have little money and a guy called Fromm, the only director who seems to be standing by Ross Mandell and not jumped ship, has lent them some cash.

Mandell is intending to sue the NASD for harassment and is looking for US$300 million compensation. I don't know how things work in the US but given Mr Mandells past record I would have thought the NASD had a duty to closely monitor Mandell and it could be argued by them that the alleged harassment was no more than super close monitoring required as a result of Mr Mandells past misdemeanors.

Thats what I can work out is happening.

It appears that Sky's days as a AIM listed company our numbered their Nomad has resigned and I can't think of any other Nomad taking on a company that has insufficient working capital and is under investigation by the Feds. No Nomad = no listing.

Its also notable that nearly all of the directors of the Sky Companies have jumped ship leaving the ever colourful Mr Mandell on his own.

Whether you are entitled to compensation is dependent on how you acquired the shares. Sky are being investigated in the US for dealings with foreign investors. Were you sold your shares by an American operating out of the US? If so you might get compensation as a result of the FBI investigation but I'm not sure who would pay it as Sky appear to have no money to pay you.

If you were sold the shares on the advice of a UK regulated firm and believe that advice was flawed complain to the UK regulated firm and if you are not satisfied with the outcome you can take the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

If you had tea with one of those nice American's at the Dorchester and subscribed for shares as a result I don't know where you stand.

Depends on what happens to the underlying business. If it carries on as a private company then you still have your shares, though I'd suggest they are likely to be of little value. As for compensation scheme, there is none for UK shares as such. You can always try and sue the Company/Directors/Advisors, as for instance shareholders have done in Langbar, but it is likely to be a lengthy process with no certainty of success, especially with the underlying business being an American one.

If your holding wasn't a huge sum then to be honest you're probably best advised to just write it off and chalk it down to experience. We've all been there.

This stock is going to hit a DOUBLE BOTTOM AT 10p.... Even a samll buy volume will spike this equity up to at least 40p !!! This is a high probability trade!!!

I have all the friends I need, and shares wise have outperformed the market and most "professional investors" since I started trading in 2004. If that makes me a loser I'll happily keep on losing.

Absolutely not- Most of them are stocks I wouldn't touch with a bargepole. I set up threads usually in stocks that have seen either a big rise or fall in price or are "special situation plays". they then act as a trigger/reference point for future reseach. if they help others then that's great- there seems to be a bizarre tendency for other folk to set up threads without charts/news.

Call it me doing my bit for others at the same time as helping myself.

Where I have put forward the bull case on setting up a thread the results have generally been favourable- e.g. ALK, UCL.
