Here we go again - up 40p yesterday and down 36p today currently!

We just need an excuse to justify the fall - How about a potential war?

I've not noticed a 'sell-by' date on a sausage roll, but if there was one I doubt the next day would qualify!

Wenzels has fewer retail outlets (100) than the number of annual new shop openings of Greggs!

This looks like a proper racket at the moment! Big rise one day then a big fall the next. Someone day trading could be making a fortune! I'm just holding for now.

I have no doubt it will fall at the ex-divi date by the equivalent of the two dividends.

‘Unfortunately, February’s downpours put retailers on the back foot again after a short-lived uplift to retail sales in January,’ said Ebury’s Phil Monkhouse.

‘With dampened and unpredictable consumer demand seemingly becoming the ’new-normal’ in an uncertain economic environment, retailers will find today‘s data a disappointing reminder that volatility is not yet behind us.’

bouleversee re the IC article.

It was just giving the benefit to Greggs management that with new store openings and tight budget control that it would continue to grow market cap and dividends.
