At least they are making him work for the pay off, not the usual free gifts.

Here is an oddity!

Minera IRL Limited ("Minera" or the "Company")

Grant of Options

Minera (AIM: MIRL), the South American precious metals mining company,
announces that a total of 50,000 options over ordinary shares of nil par value
in the Company ('Options') have today been granted to Mr Ken Judge,
non-executive director.

The Options are exercisable with immediate effect at 88.75 pence per
share, being a 25% premium to the closing price on 25 January 2010 of 71 pence
per share.

Following the grant, Mr Judge will be interested in 50,000 Options.

I've never seen one like this before. Can anyone enlighten as to why this should be done this way please?

well there we are - en of an era 7 years in HIF - looks like Ken got his place on the board.....lets hope MIRL can move this on quickly with the $5 million investment next year.

We believe there is excellent potential to extend the resource base
at the Don Nicolas Project and to advance this project rapidly toward
development. To achieve this, and also explore for new discoveries within this
emerging gold district, the Minera IRL Board has approved a substantial budget
of approximately US$5 million for 2010.The Board of Directors will also be
strengthened with the inclusion of Kenneth Judge, the former Chairman of
Hidefield. I extend him a warm welcome."

Thats the idea Wendy, there are a string of mines growing across the area.
Exeter in particular seems to be another success story.
It's a mining friendly province.Lets see what Mirl can do when they get cracking, there is a lot of land to go at in the centre of everything.

PGD's COSE target is a long way away from the HIF (or should I now say ex-HIF?) property in Santa Cruz.

HOWEVER, the entire Deasado Massif is underexplored and much of it still UN-explored. There's no knowing what will be found. Bonanza shoots like the one intersected at COSE are extreme, but similar structures are found everywhere.

will they be asking for old share certificates ie. HIF certificates or do they just issue new ones ?

Thanks

If this works the 2 sites will, on extensive & close study reveal that the patagonia site with the big success last week is far to the east of the massif.
Study of the hif map shows the scale of the mining success in the region since 1995.
The Patagonia site is only a small part of a big gold region developing.

Study of the Last presentation on the hif site, shows the j/v;s & also some royalty deals.
Alto down to 14%, so reduced as thought, but no mention of Furum.
They must have some warrents or something ?
It's a great read for the Mirl investor.

More drilling news today from Alto & grades of gold. Ok thats standard, but below is the note from the HIF website, which is bang up to date.
They have claims to Alto & Columbus as associate companies with full details & holdings, but they say nowt about Forum, which is an APF holding & a tasty morsel.

An opinion shared by others, see your post on MMl. i have replied.

Hif is very complex, I come from the APF end of the holding & whilst i know much others know more history etc,

The mapping is very poor of that region, on the web.
I have bought into the MIRL story having checked Minesite & done some research.

haydock - I assumed you were an HIF "fundi" [expert] when I posted my question. I have done my little bit of research so don't bother with replying. I am finding MIRL extremely interesting.

I am assuming that, should the HIF deal go through [and I expect it to] MIRL will monetise their North American assets and possibly the ones in Brazil as well.

At the current 70p or so, they are looking a very good bet in my extremely humble opinion.

Haydock - where exactly is the COSE resource in relation to the MIRL holdings, please?

I'd be grateful if you can point me to a map with both sites on it. Or give an approximate location [direction and distance to COSE from MIRL holdings]
Cheers

Maybe, somebody will also have to put a bit of a bomb behind the pr operation of Mirl, they have a major prize in their hands & they have failed to even issue an RNS. too busy digging, perhaps, but we will need newsflow.

The Mirl bb seems dead to the world anyway, perhaps because of slow newsflow.
Mind I always like a quiet bb & a good small share prospect.
