Global Gaming Technologies PLC

('GGT' or the 'Company')

Change of Name to Sirius Petroleum plc

New AIM ticker

Following the approval by shareholders at General Meeting on 19 August 2008, the Company has changed its name to Sirius Petroleum plc and its new AIM ticker is 'SRSP' effective immediately.

The Company's new website address is www.siriuspetroleum.com and the Company confirms that it is compliant with AIM Rule 26.

The Company also announces that further to the announcement made on 20 August 2008, the First Placing has now closed.

About Sirius Petroleum plc (AIM: SRSP)

Sirius is currently considering a number of opportunities in the oil and gas sector with particular focus in Nigeria. Whilst discussions have been encouraging, the Company is at a very early stage in its consideration of potential targets. Sirius has an agreement in place with Taglient Oil Nigeria Limited, a Nigerian private company owned and managed by Nigerian nationals who have considerable knowledge and contacts within the Nigerian Oil industry. Under this agreement, Taglient has agreed, among other things, to use all its reasonable efforts to seek out opportunities for Sirius to acquire interests in oil and gas fields in Nigeria. A Nigerian joint-venture company has also been formed and named Sirius Taglient Petro Limited. This local presence is important for the grant of permits and licences to carry out business in Nigeria.

This is just the beginning belson. 5 pence is my short term target but I'm holding for 12.5 p +. With new management appointments, change of name and a resectoring into Oil in Nigeria, we're looking at a potential 10 bagger.

2magpies, that's excellent. I think that is indeed very significant and in line with the timescales we'd expect to see an opportunity appear. Well done for spotting this.

This is what the website says (updated today)

"As previously announced, Sirius is currently considering a number of opportunities in the oil and gas sector with particular focus in Nigeria. Whilst discussions have been encouraging, the Company is at a very early stage in its consideration of potential targets."

And this is what they said on the 23rd July:

"Whilst discussions have been encouraging, the Company is at a very early stage in its consideration of potential targets. No deal has yet been identified and
there can be no certainty that a transaction will be concluded."

Note that the last bit has now been dropped. Read into it, if you like, that there IS now a deal identified.

From the Company website:

"Sirius Petroleum

Sirius Petroleum Plc is a UK registered company whose shares are listed on the London Stock Exchange's AIM.

Given the change in the Company's strategy to that of a resources company and the name of its proposed local operating company Global Gaming Technologies has changed its name to Sirius Petroleum plc."

So the name change has already happened?

(btw they are not yet listed as 'Sirius', as we know -- just a little inaccuracy!)

I think there's a fair bit of excitement already priced in.
If everything is passed as expected, and in fairness, why wouldn't it be, then I'm quite sure there will be all sorts of fun and games as the rose tinted brigade battle it out with the cynics such as me.

Five minutes to EGM.

Will there be v exciting developments today?

Well, should be a name change at least, possibily effective tomorrow. And then we will start appearing in the correct sector.

7 trades today so far and no movement on the share price You can almost feel the elastic tension building in L2 - it looks like it's shaping up for a move up again.
