28/3/2024 13:11 | Worth a read https://www.standard | meb123
28/3/2024 12:53 | If it's manipulation I am not sure who are the perpetrators. So yesterday it went down a fair bit due to oil tanking a bit . However it has since recovered . However BO doesn't recover by the same amount . Defies logic all things being equal. I can only put it down to lack of faith in the shares . Ie the market doesn't believe the recent gains can hold and is keeping an eye on the potential for oil to fall significantly. All frustrating I'm afraid. | meb123
28/3/2024 12:16 | Perhaps they are manipulating the price, so we get more bang for your buck on the bye backs. | veryniceperson
28/3/2024 12:12 | So true. They have not gotten a clue how to stimulate the economy and feel sorry for their wife's and girlfriends. | veryniceperson
28/3/2024 11:56 | Brent at 87 . Should be above 500 . Maybe we will get an Easter treat :) | meb123
28/3/2024 11:14 | Not helped by reducing capital gains and dividend allowances. They should be incentivising people to invest rather than reducing incentives | watfordhornet
28/3/2024 10:43 | UK as a whole, meb | veryniceperson
28/3/2024 10:20 | There won't be any catch up unless it moves its listing to the US . I read somewhere that over 5 years the Ftse100 has only gone up by less than 10% compared to over 50% for S&P . This tells us what a sorry state of affairs the uk stock market is in . | meb123
28/3/2024 05:10 | sister companys like xom etc pulling ahead. we gonna have to play catch up! | hellscream
27/3/2024 17:09 | few hundred million of divi money going in tommarrow. should be up. | hellscream
27/3/2024 15:43 | No not filled..... nearly made it just after 10am though. Will let it ride to EOP tomorrow. | gwatson56
27/3/2024 12:44 | Good luck GWatson did you hit your 489 buy? Fwiw I reckon 550 is nailed on this next 2 or 3 months also - that upgrade back to A1 is very good news and very welcomed - I’d forgotten all about that | adg
27/3/2024 10:16 | Just got back in here having sold recently at sub 500. Could have got a bit more by waiting a little and no doubt may be able to buy for a bit less too but I am happy to be holding again as I do think 500 could become a support level as the year progresses. Good luck all 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
27/3/2024 09:04 | Since the shares took a downturn on Q3 results due to weak gas trading and a write down of their US wind assets, BP have bought back 416.8m of their shares for $1.97bn at an average of £4.73. That's good value in my book. | pughman
27/3/2024 06:42 | $85.00 a barrel/Brent, there racking it in. Results should be good. As you say, hellscream is good for buybacks. | veryniceperson
27/3/2024 05:35 | will be 10p down today, good for the dividend i guess. no point in buying high. never seen a share held by the market like this one. | hellscream
26/3/2024 20:25 | It has taken 3 years, but today Moodys uprated BP to A1 from A2. This matters a lot and will help BP re debt servicing. IMO I see this as a catalyst to move the share up to the region of £5.50 in the next six months or less.... BP in US drifted late on. Could be an opportunity to top up in the next day or so. Set a limit buy for 4.89 just in case the bots / algos try to look for PI stops. | gwatson56
26/3/2024 17:09 | average dividend with no share price growth (cap of £5.50). not much reason to invest. | hellscream
26/3/2024 16:49 | Last year there were two 10% dividend increases. With MA signalling $3.5bn in buybacks for the next 6 months, unless the oil price takes off, I'm factoring in just one 10% dividend hike over the next 12 months. | pughman
26/3/2024 16:35 | Just about clinging on to 500p | philanderer
26/3/2024 01:11 | Just today's buybacks work out about £1,100,000 ish over a year. A tidy sum. Hopefully, there will be a decent dividend rise come May results. Fingers crossed. | veryniceperson
25/3/2024 22:39 | How much is the company saving in divi a year since the buy backs I reckon close to a billion £ a year that's a rough number can anyone get closer | wolansm
25/3/2024 17:37 | That finish is a bit more like it.. | the pie
22/3/2024 16:57 | Just had to close below 500p . Sigh ........ | meb123
22/3/2024 16:22 | Keep the buy backs it saves on paying a dividend in the future | wolansm |
