Actually, Christmas Eve is when you have to be on the register in order to receive the dividend (goes XD on 22nd Dec). The divi itself won't be paid until next year, date presently unspecified.

Presuming we are approaching the end, does anyone have any views on other companies in the same sector / related sectors? I was in Care UK and Claimar Care, but both those went to cash offers. I would like to keep some investment in health care (I am overweight in gold, rare earths etc.), my only health related investment currently is PHP. Anything worth researching?

Agreed 115p including the dividend looks likely. Never known such long negiotiations though. Will be glad when this is finalised.

Okay - so we are up to an offer of 112.5p now. Not totally convinced that is the end of this story..................

Today's move means very little.
But we are nearer a decision one way or another- thats a fact.
