13/8/2009 08:49 | Thanks for the help guys i'll check out the plus trades. Still think VSC is good value, so am holding for now. Cheers | jpm247
12/8/2009 12:42 | The volume can be misleading unless you have level 2 which shows te trades that go through in the plus markets. Not a great deal has passed through since yesterday, but plenty more than lse volume states.... This was always going to happen, as profit takers moved on from a successful short term trade.. Also, the MM will have used this to shake any weak holders out, and now good buying support at 60p again.. The way i see it is, do you think this is still good value, then buy some on weakness.... | insideryou
12/8/2009 12:05 | Any ideas why the big drop today with hardly any volume ?? My profit has been eaten up this morning. No volume yesterday here either? - Tho i notice from sharw that advfn only gives lse trades?! | jpm247
11/8/2009 09:09 | RB looks for breakouts, this was a prime candidate to move and move fast. If a share sits in a tight range with ok but not great liquididty, when it moves out of the range it tends to move rapidly and hard. Could be getting up to £1 quite quickly because there is just no selling pressure! | devonlad
11/8/2009 01:48 | 29palms- ADVFN only show LSE trades - a greater volume in small stocks goes through PLUS and this appears to be the trade under discussion: 05/08/2009 16:05:33 52.00 10,000 O 5,200.00 Source: | sharw
10/8/2009 23:34 | Call me an old cynic but I would doubt MrNakedtrader website trades stating that he bought on 5th August at 52p as there was no 10000 trades that day. Check our own ADVFN trades listed for 5th August- He also states that the shares were "stuck at 50p for weeks and weeks" Before this nice mark up last week this stock last seen 50p back in October 2008 A little uneconomical with the truth me thinks regarding Visonic. However, that said, some startling gains across the portfolio. As always DYOR Regards, 29palms | 29palms
10/8/2009 16:51 | And that would be illegal........ Seriously though i know what you mean - it must be tempting to sell straight away! Release a buy rec, watch it rise 40% and then get out. Do his sell notes cause similar carnage on the downside? I have never looked at that side but i cant imagine its pretty. | frndlyfire
10/8/2009 15:57 | I agree with you, its like printing money for him, but his credentials are so highly rated, and such a large following, but his criteria for picking shares is based on soild fundementals, and clean balance sheets, which has put him where he is.. Having said that, i would love to be where he is now.. i would have my trading stock ready to sell, the moment the market makers stopped the huge mark up on the day it was tipped, then keep my mid term stuff for capitol growth.. But thats just me.. | insideryou
10/8/2009 12:24 | he has certainly generated volume for now.... | keybored
10/8/2009 11:56 | Is it not somewhat of a self fulfilling prophecy though? If i pick a small high risk stock with relatively low volumes and send that tip to X thouusand of people who all buy in i am sure i could have a similar track record. Its just pump and dump on a massive scale - but fairplay to the guy for gettimg the following in the first place. Thats the bit that takes the skill. | frndlyfire
10/8/2009 10:58 | He has an e mail subscription as well which alerts you to his buys 2 hours before the web site gets it..Also he tips high risk stuff which he buys through his sipp.. Tell you something, this guys track record is scarily good. Not sure how he does it on such a regular basis though........ | insideryou
10/8/2009 10:03 | This bloke i guess - he has quite a following! Look at the stocks he has picked and all show similar rises! Must be a nice position to be in - post your buys and everyone piles in!! | frndlyfire
09/8/2009 20:46 | whats driving the movement ? | keybored
07/8/2009 18:13 | Did say that this was one that not a lot of investors were watching. 19% increase in my small holding today is good news indeed. DYOR | 29palms

30/8/2008 10:48 | NIIICCCCEEEE :-) they are doing a good job ... back above 0,60 :-) Visonic H1 pretax rises four fold; says positive sales trend continues in H2 LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Visonic Ltd. said its pretax profit for the first half increased four fold on a 20 percent increase in sales and added that that positive trend in sales has continued into the beginning of the second half of 2008. The company it derived the performance from its well-established customer base, reflecting rising demand for Visonic's products in its major geographic markets Europe and North America, as well as the success of Visonic's strategy of building sales by developing new channels to market through relationships with major security and utility companies. For the six months ended June 30, the company said its pretax profit jumped to $4.3 million compared with 1 million last year as its sales rose to $44.65 million compared with $37.1 million last year. | josedelavega
30/4/2008 15:16 | The trouble with this one is that it has become so illiqid. As far as I can see only four trades on two days in the last 3 weeks - 3 trades, value about £9k, on 21st and 5k, value £2.4k, this morning. | sharw
30/4/2008 10:57 | good news today :-) bad that there are not more shares offered at 0,45 - 0,40 - .... to buy :-) José | josedelavega
04/2/2008 16:18 | Visonic to supply Sector Alarm Holdings A.S Monday, February 4 Visonic to supply Sector Alarm Holdings A.S with PowerMax security system Visonic (LSE: VSC.L; TASE: VSC.TA), the international developer and manufacturer of electronic security systems (alarms) and home management systems, is pleased to announce it has signed a new distribution contract with Sector Alarm Holdings AS (Sector Alarm), one of the leading Scandinavian security companies based in Norway.
