Got a feeling SPRP will be snapped up soon. Trading 50%+ off highs, Jarden own 30%. They made a low ball offer a few years ago. I reckon they will be back in for them.

A stroke of luck indeed. This is my third bid stock in as many weeks following AVS and LVD. I only bought these early November as a recovery play. Very nice short term return :)

A stroke of luck if you ask me! Never saw this as a takeover candidate but in hindsight the merger seems to make a lot of sense and the weak pound makes all medium sized engineering/tech companies vulnerable. Pity though that another British Tech company gets taken out.

Of course the third way to look at it is that due to tight cost control as a result of unusually poor trading in q1, there was a lid on recruitment!
Prospects clearly much better for H2 and vacancies now up to 59

Continued weakness ahead of interim's, yet current vacancies on compnay website continue to rise to 54.
Two ways of looking at this,

So close to the TU, if the results are likeley to be poor then you would expect the purse strings to be tightened
On the other hand inability to fill vacancies could be hampering growth

Very much under the radar, 47 vacancies for a company this size is a good sign, overseas earnings/FX exchange should be a big boost this year. Interims/TU 7th Nov.

I think this stock still has some bite E2V supplied CCD's on the Horizon project. ( satellite sent to pluto ) would be something to look out for in June/ July. If successful could mean a big achievement for the company. secure its place it the British space industry
