30/1/2024 13:02 | Looking good value again with discount now back to around 20%. Good way to get some diversified commodity exposure, including about 25% in precious metals last time I looked. Very good track record so not sure why on such a wide discount - most likely just too small and illiquid therefore off radar of the wealth managers. | riverman77
06/1/2024 14:59 | I like this, especially when discount goes above 20%, but the annual fees seem to be rising is this due to what seems to be quite high portfolio churn when assessing historical holdings? | bitgold

17/1/2023 15:51 | Forecasts come & go, but CYN's discount is persistent (other than rare occasions when they get near to par. Average discount of past 10 years must be 20% or so (currently c.16%, 1yr avg c.12%). | spectoacc
17/1/2023 15:46 | The current share price is at a massive discount to NAV. Strange considering commodities are forecast to do well in 2023. | papillon
13/5/2022 07:32 | Fair enough. | brucie5
12/5/2022 11:15 | Brucie5, I have added today on this 6% dip. | tonytyke2
12/5/2022 11:02 | Still looks like a correction of overbought, rather than a reversal of the macro chart. I can't imagine the commodities basket they hold going out of fashion any time soon - unless we have global recession. But then we still have bottlenecks in supply, and huge demand for electrification. | brucie5

25/4/2022 13:17 | "Stocks and commodities tumbled as China’s worsening Covid outbreak compounded fears sparked by faster Federal Reserve tightening" Commodities share price have risen very high in recent months and were due a reset due to above issues and others. Defensive stocks such as Unilever are rising. | nimrod22

Been thinking of taking profit here but will probably hang on for a while as still around a 15% discount to NAV. Interested in other long term holders views. -------------------- I upped my position some weeks ago, and of course could almost hit myself from not buying even more of a position. CYN is surely in a sweet spot, while giving you the advantages of managing your risk for you across the range of commodities. There are not that many like it in ITs - BERI, maybe, but this has the larger discount. Can't of course advise beyond that! | brucie5

13/4/2022 22:12 | This is my largest holding and I'm holding on. It rose to £3 about 10 years ago and I'll think about selling then. Problem at the moment is if I sell, what to use the cash for? | bonnard

04/4/2022 16:55 | Up again, >4%. 15% discount. | brucie5
27/3/2022 09:29 | Probably shunned due to high management fees (no matter the returns). Investors can become quite fixated. | shieldbug
24/3/2022 18:57 | And I don't really understand why. The management seems we regarded and it has a wide remit on a range of commodities. Even pays a dividend! | brucie5
24/3/2022 15:14 | Crikes, NAV now 235p! Still well discounted here. | tonytyke2 |
