Thanks for the thanks

Had it as biggest SIPP holding by a long way so am out for drinks this evening.

Been not a bad day as am also net short the market- patience has been a virtue in both cases but it's been a long hard slog waiting for the market to collapse.

Was massively short the banks for months, got out gradually as the market manipulation kept burning me on each sharp rise and my pockets weren't deep enough to run the risk I was wrong.
Only big regret is after having predicted what is now happening I wasn't short any bank other than Standard Chartered this week - such is life.

Hope someone else made a bit on this.

Nice on a day like this. Shame I took profits on half of mine 6 months ago but that's the way it goes with small companies.

Well done management!

Is this what's behind recent Director share purchases see under "news" at top of page

looks as if they could be announcing some time soon some big increases in employees using their products

Gosh it's quiet around here - I guess lack of news accounts for share price drifting down over last few weeks....wake me up when something happens...zzzzz

Thanks WJCCGHCC, I see what you mean about bouncing back, I guess I'll stick with a small top up on IGP.

POS ALOG and CRYO were the main ones though they've all bounced back now.

WJCCGHCC, I was thinking much the same re smallcaps as we do seem to be seeing a floor now and thinking of topping up on likes of IGP. Hope you don't mind me asking but what small caps do you have in mind ?

I took profits on half of my stake which has caused some of the fall. No reflection on VBT, whose progress I'm very happy with. It's just that there's good upside in some of the bombed out smallcaps and I wanted to redeploy some funds.

Anything behind recent share price drift downwards...?

Yup but not surprised in this market. Recurring revenues now up to 65% of total and the international markets seem to be opening up. Happy to hold and add on dips.

notice someone has paid 5p over the offer price of 160p this morning so it looks as if there is still very little free stock around

WJCCGHCC

generally I prefer to argue on a BB rather than agree because you don't learn anything from those who share your own view you just begin to believe you must be right which is always very dangerous.

Having said that I can't disagree with anything you write - that's also how I see things - recurring revenue is a big plus and it does seem to be an almost recession proof part of the market to be in, no consumer spending angles etc - just wish the spread made it more attractive to deal I hate paying offer price on such a big gap even although I know in the long term it shouldn't make much difference.

the thing is that with the recent share price fall, the emergence of VBT from overdependence on one client (the Pru), high recurring revenues with good visibility of new clients for the next few years, the structural shift to online benefits and director buying, it's hard to see where the MMs are going to get any stock at least until it's recovered to the 170p area.

last deal for only 1582 shares was done at 2.5% ABOVE the offer price -so it's looking like there is a dire shortage of stock at least that's the way I read it

that sounds about right its difficult to buy anything above the normal market size without paying over the odds there never seems to be any supply available and the directors are in no hurray to lighten their holdings.

Someone bought 6700 at 2p above the offer.

nice follow on in price considering current market conditions - for some reason spread has really narrowed this afternoon - anyone any thoughts on that?
