22/4/2024 19:57 | Higher for longer is good for Wise! I'm slightly concerned over increasing competition though. One would have to look into Revolut's finances to see how well they are doing. HSBC Zing I hadn't even heard of it until recently. | lappuliisa
22/4/2024 12:23 | Jez, I'm the same as you on your first 3 points and the last one (HSBC are generally hopeless!), but valuation holds me back, particularly given the reduced trading momentum. This may of course throw up a great buying opportunity and I might miss it!! | tradertrev
22/4/2024 07:22 | I use it.I love it.I will continue to use it.Others I think feel the same way, so I'm happy to buy in.Will I look at the HSBC competitive product? Absolutely not! | jezreel

03/1/2024 08:43 | HSBC is stepping up its battle to lure customers away from digital upstarts such as Revolut and Wise with the launch of a foreign exchange payments app to spend, send and convert international currencies. The Zing app, which is set to be available on the Google and Apple app stores in Britain from today, will allow users to hold cash in ten different currencies, to spend money "like a local" in more than 200 countries and to make international transfers at "competitive rates" across more than 30 currencies. | steeplejack
14/11/2023 08:03 | Very impressive figures and ever since they introduced card payments the growth has been impressive as well. Everything is so smooth and easy for customers. | clocktower
14/11/2023 07:30 | With our Q2 trading update in October 2023, we upgraded our income growth guidance for FY24 to 33-38% (previously 28-33%), reflecting the strong start we have made to the year, and our higher interest income expectations. This is despite us aiming to return more interest to customers and the more challenging interest income comparative in the second half of the year. Our medium term guidance remains unchanged: -- Income to grow at a compound annual growth rate of >20% over the medium term -- We are targeting an adjusted EBITDA margin at or above 20% over the medium term | steeplejack
13/10/2023 09:43 | I'm afraid I didn't believe that an offsetting balances remittance product had a long term future. Is that still the underlying model? | eaglebeagle
12/10/2023 11:39 | "Our business performance, progress against our mission and the investments we're making give us great confidence, and we're pleased to signal this with our upgraded financial guidance for FY24." | steeplejack
02/10/2023 16:49 | Its no good if the services they offer don't make money though. | my retirement fund
02/10/2023 16:47 | Personally I think challenges for the business/share price still resides in its share structure & the subsequent control rights. Wise is a great product and I use it all the time, however the mkt is increasingly competitive and customer acquisition in this spaces gets pricey. It would seem ripe to fit with a major global financial group yet the ownership structure may be off putting for that to happen. Who knows maybe the founders will sell up and that will shoot the share price. | conwyrebel
02/10/2023 16:30 | Just coming to this board as I am now interested in Wise. I have recently opened an account with them and I am absolutely impressed with the product. I have tested it extensively for payments on multi-currencies, keeping the EUR in money market funds, paying with card, with apple pay. 6 seconds from my app to my UK bank account transfers (at excellent rates). Transfers from and to family in EUR and GBP perfectly on time. I don't know about the financials and the prospects, but I'm ready to invest as the product is just fantastic. And I have come to the conclusion that companies with products you love and love to use are the ones to succeed, whatever the analyst and financial gurus say. | gonsan
29/9/2023 10:42 | !FOLLOWFEED This has been listed since July 2021 @880p. Nearly half of the shares are held by the CEO and founders. This is an international card payment service and multi-currency deposit business. The main opportunity here is to gain market share from the incumbent banks who are mostly unable to be as nimble as a new and focussed operator like Wise. It is a multi-billion pound business and still growing at quite a pace. It is quite highly rated and not paying a divi at the moment. It doesn't make loans so it has no default risk. It provides a very useful service for any international traveller and has a large addressable market to go for. | lemming1
22/9/2023 11:21 | The charts indicate that these will go past the 778p high tested in July and break above 800p. Time will tell... | parvez
21/9/2023 14:06 | If it holds above 700 for a week I shall go back in. Markets are facing strong headwinds at present. | ben gunn
30/8/2023 08:54 | The only off-putting thing here is that the senior directors with the best seats in the house have been selling shed loads of shares. | my retirement fund
29/4/2023 14:14 | A word to the wise: our model is so compelling even banks will adopt it The co-founder of Wise tells how his money transfer group will stop Brits being ‘duped’ by fees. | masurenguy
13/3/2023 20:33 | Not often does such opportunities present themselves. These, events are rare and being a long standing Wise client that has always received first class service it seems strange not to take advantage of today’s action. | clocktower
13/3/2023 20:15 | Can't see why trading wise (no pun) it would be affected. | yf23_1
13/3/2023 20:06 | Hi all, Can anyone see why Wise share price should be down 11% today? I'd read that a lot of money was being put INTO Wise after the collapse of SVB. | woodzeebeck
30/11/2022 21:56 | They do of course make a lot of money out of cash that is just passing through their hands which while intrinsically short term constitutes in practice a huge rolling cash balance.i have only seen theabridged financial statements but it would be nice toknow their guidelines for investing this, in the money markets , short gilts or otherwise and whether this is a self imposed discipline or governed by statute and to have confirmation that there is no co-mingling of client and company funds.I do not suggest for a moment that there is, I just do not know the rules Wise has to comply with and what the checks are that they do.It is probably all in the full financial statements. I was a very early user of their money transfer services, with some trepidation at the time it must be said, but always found the service totally reliable and efficient.I have kicked myself many times for not investing in the IPO but there have been better trading oportunities since as it turns out. A clever business model which fully deserves the success it is having. | whealan
20/10/2022 11:49 | Indeed - depends on who is the top performing stock picker in that sector. | conwyrebel |
