Kelso is a minnow and has no interest (or ability) to take over the whole of THG, so I am surprised The Times thinks he is worried enough to buy the shares on a Pacman strategy. Maybe he likes the other stakes they have taken and sees this as a launchpad for a Mike Ashley style jaunt through the retail sector

Any investor making that kind of investment would do DD before investing. However I take your point.

I don’t think it needs significant DD to see Kelso’s business “model” - buy a small stake, shout about it, hope the shares go up, sell the stake.

They have made a decent investment into The Works WRKS and already up 20% on it. That is their second investment so a good move as too dependent on The Hut Group otherwise

The future for Mr Goold and his team look extremely bright. Fantastic team who are not looking for the standard 10% return but far higher. Great to part of it
