Its simple really. There is the prospect of a ten bagger (or more) here. Ethiopia is not a bad country - for several years it was the fastest growing country in the World.

But I like the idea of a ten bagger. I do not know of any other miner that is approaching that prospect.

Down to the second bank how fast things go will, kefi can only give an estimate on how fast things should go. Think kefi has done everything they can do and had a board approval from a consortium member (apart from the lead bank) even before the second bank so in a way its the last big hurdle to clear but once it lcear things shoulf go a lot faster.

Blue square, the issue of security is clearly front and centre of discussions this year as HA has already discussed why using the army to protect TK probably isn’t feasible (simply not enough risk of an issue at the TK site so army personnel would be sitting idle which is not really what they’ve been trained for). More recently he told us about the formation of a new special [armed] police unit dedicated to guarding mine site infrastructure as part of Ethiopia’s push to attract international investment. To me this solution seems workable given that other miners already operate successfully in more volatile locations in Africa such as DRC, Mali and Burkina Faso, with government personnel providing the bulk of the security force to protect the mines. There is clearly a working model that Ethiopia can copy from these other states to protect their mining sites. I really don’t see this as a major stumbling block.

I cant imagine it comprises more than 1% of anyones portfolio

from the 2nd bank and a bounce in the
share price(my exit)
This wont get unconditional approval,
no one is going to build a mine, when
it can be targeted by OLA, the
contractors have a duty of care to
their employees, unless they can get
a peace deal with OLA, I think people
can forgot about this moving forward.
I could be completely wrong, we will
see.

"All syndicate members have agreed a schedule for all remaining pre-launch tasks including their respective formal approvals ahead of full financial close mid-2024."

Why not share that schedule with shareholders then? And update them as milestones are(n't) hit. What's the big secret?
