On Ryanair’s multiple and I would argue we are a stronger business with a better balance sheet and growing faster our share price would be circa 26 quid. The reason it hasn’t retraced it’s 40 percent gain lately is because it’s still extremely undervalued.

I normally don’t like buying a share that’s risen so much lately but aim has created a unique opportunity where in normal times this share has a route to a 40 quid valuation. It’s growth plan is impressive. Won’t be get rich quick but a strong add to a portfolio in a risky sector.

If we knew the answer to that we'd all be minted! If you're only just thinking of getting involved, you may be slightly late to the party. Having said that Jet2 are by far the best Operator of this kind in the UK, and there's still plenty of headroom for profit. The demise of TCX, and the way TUI treated their staff during Covid, and to some extent their passengers due to ground handling issues during the restart following the pandemic, gave Jet2 a shift in where passengers decided to book their holidays. Well I believe it did anyway. The staff are well looked after, valued and motivated and therefore they feel invested in the company. Aircraft are being refreshed with newer Airbus models, and those aircraft may have longer range enabling the company to explore further. All in all, lots to be positive about

The well liked, but I guess an expensive free service, Resort Flight Check In is being done away with. In the press the same day Liverpool goes live.

Airline and tour operator Jet2 is launching flights from Liverpool to 20 different holiday destinations.

The first flight was due to jet off from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Tenerife at 08:00 GMT.

A fleet of four aircraft will fly customers to destinations including Alicante, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Greece and Cyprus.

Jet2 chief executive Steve Heapy said the response to the new services had been "nothing short of phenomenal".

Mr Heapy said: "Bookings have remained consistently strong since launch, and the feedback we have received has left us in no doubt that making this move was the right one."

He added that the company had experienced "huge demand from customers and independent travel agents" since launching the new services.

The company said the new programme would equate to about 565,000 seats over the summer.

Poor wrongo. Been crucified on the sfor thread for his atrocious calls know it all attitude and out and out lying. His stop out here in Jan at 1220 also rang the bell for the lows. Credibility zero for the poor lad.

Boh a good move, parking tanks on Tui's lawn again. Good to have a little outpost on the south coast as well. A bit of operational resilience, good place for tech diverts, keeping a standby aircraft etc..

If my memory is right, that’s nice symmetry about Bournemouth - it’s where they used to land the cut flowers from the Channel Islands when they started out as Dart Group.

Jet2 has announced it will fly from a southern airport for the first time in its history.

The airline currently flies from airports across the country, but has never flown from an airport south of London.

Today, Tuesday 26 March, Jet2 confirmed it will make Bournemouth Airport its 12th base, and will launch 16 routes from April 2025.

Jet2 is currently the UK's third-biggest airline and largest tour operator in the country, and said the move was to match demand from the South of England.

The decision will support independent travel agents across the region, the company said, who have been asking the airline to fly from the south for 'years'.

It will also mean Bournemouth Airport needs to be expanded to accommodate hundreds of thousands more passengers each year.
