I guess when you look at companies like GDR with results today showing they have great products but miss managed cash you have to be grateful for out board with Penny leading it. Extremely prudent and self sufficient.
With a Market cap of just 4.5m and no cash could GDR be a good takeover to strip the assets and cement a presence!
Someone will be considering it a cheap takeover in my opinion minus the management

I suspect many have given up.
The boards lack of updates and buying themselves sends the wrong signals

I haven't given up, I have many and do expect to make a ROI here...MHC could start by returning some of the war chest to shareholders in the form of a divi, as previously eluded to.

With the 25pk of covid being re stocked and selling well immediately it’s clear that the government pulling tests for care home elderly people that care homes will need to buy them privately. Finally MHC have realised but it’s took months to restock the 25pk. Let hope demand ensures they need to keep restocking it

April 3rd last year.
Expect a natural slowdown since February in Covid tests but I also expect modest pick up in new test sold in store.

I would be more interested if MHC can embark on sales agreements in more stores before ABDX beat them at it.
Time to grow without relying on Boots as they clearly intend to have there own brands in lines that are gaining traction and given they are selling them they have the crucial data.

Interesting to see if plans with digital data makes any difference

I’m surprised MHC don’t supply direct to major care homes. They will need private tests still in my opinion

Was in Birmingham today shopping and popped into Boots. Found the MHC brand on a top shelf near the chemist counter.
I asked the woman who was stocking the items how sales were going. She seemed a bit confused by my question but proceeded to say she’s regularly restocking the shelves every week. I guess my point is the reall sales momentum could be attributed to the instore sales in my opinion. Strangely the only select various lines though.

Most people have all but given up seeing any return here. Sad given it’s balance sheet but that’s the unfortunate reality as most been burnt to bad

That graph no better than this one and a market cap of 210m.
I’d say most investors would be equally as pi—ed as this one.

We won’t know until results.
Last year they were 3rd April.
When do we think this year.
I’m expecting a slowdown in covid sales however a good month in January but real growth in probably half the new tests. The more expensive ones other the tolerance test will gain traction if a deal is done with the government and chemists to allow patients to buy them on prescription using the chemists as a port of call. Similar to the last 7 tests gone that way. It will be huge save to the government and cut GP waiting time. I think this is why MHC is pumping so much into digital data.
Penny needs to be more transparent

Sells through Boots - seems more successful than MHC, perhaps through better marketing.

Surely Penny must have a plan to expand and not just Boots.

I thought that also.
MHC need to seek alternative arrangements with independent stores etc.
Boots will wish to promote own brand surely!

I see ABDX are now assisting Boots with own brand tests. I did wonder if they might get some entry into Boots but tbh thought that would be through collaboration with MHC.

A collaboration would be good but as said MHC have cash and need to create more revenue from growth in product sales.

ABDX have great products and revenue growing but cash burn is the problem.

Both have potential

Hi Tia - imo both are great businesses and both are undervalued, but I don't think they're comparable. Yes, MHC has more cash but it is, as far as I can see, centred entirely on human health and wellbeing, and still reliant heavily on Covid related income. ABDX currently has 29 projects in its hopper, covering a diverse mix of LFT applications across human, plant, environmental, animal testing, with Salistick merely being the first to commercialise but others shortly to do so. These include two tests selected by the govt to be part of its new IDAP scheme (8 in total), intended to fast track the most transformative tests into widespread use in the NHS. SO it is not just targeting retail and its potential revenue streams are diverse and certainly not weighted to Covid. MHC may well be in the better balance sheet position right now, but for me the greater potential lies with ABDX and, perhaps, both could benefit by enhancing the collaboration which has existed between the two companies since 2020.

After comparing MHC and ABDX you can’t help notice quite a few points.
ABDX market cap over 10m
MHC over 6.5m

ABDX has around 1.9m
MHC has around 8m plus

ABDX has a high cash burn and needed fund raises.

MHC is prudent and cash in the bank growing.

ABDX concentrated on revenue growth.
MHC concentrated on cash flow and growth.

ABDX main product is salistick
MHC has over 20 Products

So is
ABDX Market Cap of 10m justified! Or is MHCs 6.5m way undervalued!

Hopefully end of year results will show growth for MHC and we push up to levels of our competitors to reflect the facts.

Will the shorts who exited this week at 11.5p scramble to get back as its back above 13p. Positive news and we move significantly higher. Has the
Market got wind of some why we jumped just!

A company I mentioned recently called ABDX which has great products and is in a similar space as MHC has had great news this morning and rocketing. I feel MHC could benefit from working with them. The strange thing is they have a salistick product which is a pregnancy test!. That’s where MHC started. Let’s hope we can have positive news and have a run like that.
We have cash but ABDX had a strategy of revenue growth but cash position not that great.

When you look at the recent statement in January the company said it expects to break even. I am wondering given the obviously poor performance from some of the more expensive units whether the company will drop the expensive products and concentrate on the ones that are selling to cut costs. Clearly some of the expensive ones cost a lot to produce and if these are not selling why would you the more in to restock. I may be wrong but I feel they could be out of stock due to shelf life dates.
I guess Penny must be aware that the real opportunity is a contract with GPs, Doctors and Boots Chemists able to prescribe these tests to patients other wise it’s a long road to gain traction in some of them. It was ambitious to launch 20 products but as Covid sales slow the company must have a plan to curb costs also.
Hopefully we hear something between now and next month. I do see a slowdown in Covid sales but would be nice to see traction in half of the new products but I think around 7-8 are showing positive signs.
I still wonder why Directors ain’t bought any for ages.

Are we really saying MHC can’t afford a few TV adds at this price.
Surely they need to seriously consider it because it’s a direct way for the public to know about MHC

Does capitalism really work in this Day and age in tve stock market. So much money invested in stocks and shares from investors. The shares of companies with cash like MHC brings it into question as good Financially sound companies like MHC getting no joy from markets that are supposed to support and encourage companies to grow however growth is muted when the price falls below cash value.

AIM companies left to struggle unfortunately in my opinion
