it's like selling shares at 550p when you are guaranteed 625p in a very short period of time

daft

Very strange how people are actually selling shares here and for 5.5p too

Yea, its been a very frustrating company. I've been in and out since the pre pack in 2010. Still it could be worse,at least its not been a scam like the companies behind so many other AIM shares have been.

Funds cannot buy the size of stake they need to make a difference and retail investors are not keen on illiquid sub £25m market cap companies that inevitably have wide spreads.

This company has been on a low rating for years it is nothing new.

It's just a pity the market did not attribute a sensible value on the business, they would have been forced to offer something mu h fairer, certainly 10 pence at the very least!

The problem here is that the board already own so much of the stock that no bidder will come forward as they know they will not sell or at least not until us minority holders are cleared out.

This is sadly another good example of how the lower end of AIM and listings/delistings rarely benefit shareholders. I have held on after a delisting and in fairness generally come out well but as a minority and not inside the business you will be very much in the dark going forward.

This story makes me feel like taking the risk and staying on but my preferred option is now SCS which is in a much better place and lots of cash plus wider home furnishings market.

This might explain their change of accounting period. Wouldn't it be nice to see their management accounts (even unaudited) to 30/09/20 and find out what advice was received from N+1 Singer. Would you think that a competitor could be interested in making a bid? These guys have insider information that we should be given. Should we trust anything that they say?

Sorry I don't follow your logic. I mean, yes but no because surely they wouldn't be buying it and taking private if they were paying fair value would they! The whole reason they want it is because they are getting an outright bargain!

the price you, me or anyone else paid is irrelevant

what matters is the true value/fair price for the future cash flows and dividends that this business can generate

and that is definitely much higher than 6p

It is lousy but they know dam well that if they waited another 12 months they would have to be offering a lot more. I took the opportunity to average down during the summer panic, so thankfully I'm not going to be loosing out but there must be an awful lot of investors who will be getting royally shafted.

I would urge all fellow non concert party shareholders to reject this opportunistic offer

let them pay a fair price for this company if they want it

this company could pay 6p in dividends alone in the next 5 years

using our cash to buy the rest of the shares for a lousy 19% premium

hope they both get the virus

this company worth so much more than 6p

Yea and they have probably taken about 15 mil out in personal dividends plus around another 25 mil in salaries over the period. Don't let anyone tell you there's not good money in carpets! ....if you know what your doing!

Proposed take out at 6.25p.

Nice work for the founders. They IPO'ed this at £20m 15 years ago, now they are buying in back at a valuation of £5m.

So what's the consensus then? I'm happy as long as all my shares get bought, but it all depends on perspective - which depends on the price we all bought in at.

Thought they would be closed during the lockdown. Carpets not exactly life and death are they.

Not complaining though, as I have some shares here.
