What has happened to the 600,000 tonne p.a concentrator which was being painted , disassenbled and sent from S.A. to Zambia to arrive I thought in late April?

I think it is either 2 of 2 things, IRH as I have stated maybe taking a stake or even buying out JLP seeing as they have offered $1 billion for a portion of Vendate or JLP are trying to get Chambisi. However I need advice on this, if JLP are already doing things with IRH in Mopani why would they need Chambisi.

You could be right Froggers. Let's just hope that we don't have an incoming bogey.

Interesting Pshevlin,

In the US/UK double taxation agreement all pension income is taxed in the country of residence. As worldwide income is taxed in both countries but can be offset in the other via a foreign tax credit so one only ends up paying at the more expensive rate.

Something is happening at a corporate level. It's as plain as the nose on Barry Manilows face.

Interesting 'meet and greet' with Paul Kabuswe & Honeywell International broadcast on FB this morning. The 3 Million tons is just an initial target ... easily get to 5-6 MT dependent on how much investment there is in the mining sector. We know Fortescue, Rio Tinto & Ivanhoe are currently talking to Zambia atm ... see what happens. Comment that there were too many tailings in country ... need to be more efficient and use modern practices. More tailings JV's with other major players incoming ? We shall see.

If you want some imminent gains, one may want to consider a timely purchase of Colins GLR. The copper deal has been announced on the Zambia Government website but not officially announced yet to the market. Lots of copper 30-60mtrs down, easy to extract and much more deeper below. We all love Colin

They want scale though, slater i dare say will be pushing for it and the reason for the strengthened BOD, Ollie & Tracy ex Anglo etc. RBC are close with all the big fish, Glencore, Barrick, FQ etc and when the takeover bid comes, they will want to be buying a bigger company with a further reach than we do now.

I think the IRH is a big deal but the next may frighten us lol

I really do NOT want to see JLP overextending themselves and issuing more shares before we get to a decent share price at the moment. The amount of confetti we would have to issue at these prices would be ridiculous. Even talking about it would be enough to deter more people entering.

Or maybe call and EGM to ask shareholders to approve a huge raise in shares in order to do the deal. Our biggest holders may get that through if they can get in on the discounted placing. Would be nice if us minnows (10M and below) get that chance at the same time.

The next big deal may involve a big dilution though but will hopefully make sense and we end up owning a smaller piece of a more valuable pie. I wonder how much headroom we have left of shares to issue. Or will Leon go for a big loan to do whatever deal is brewing

The Chambishi Copper Smelter in Zambia, owned by China Nonferrous Metal Mining Corp (CNMC), has cut one-fifth of its production as it grapples with the fallout from power shortages across the country.

Zambia generates most of its electricity from hydropower, but output has taken a hit in recent months as ongoing droughts – the worst the country has seen in at least two decades – force water levels down.

Could it be something as big as Chambishi Copper Smelter Limited which was a rumor recently and Leon didn't try to distance himself at all from it. That would be a BIG move but would acerate us into a very well known player

We are hiding in plain sight. Not many people would bother to read the story of Jubilee and see how exposed they are to copper, as it doesn't show in the accounts yet. They see the platinum collapsing. But that itself could be silver lining in a year or so as I am sure too much production will be taken out as pain increases on the miners, and I could see a bounce in plat price just as our chrome production increases and therefore our platinum Almost seems too good to be true especially at this depressed price. I have not much more to invest at the moment unfortunately

They are known at the highest levels, believe me. Interesting move the RBC appointment. Suggests something big about to occur for a heavyweight mining sector bank to be involved
