Forget class action. Pension Protection Fund had to buy in to rescue and refused, saying it breached its 'principles'. Write to Frank Fields and ask him to call PPF CEO to appear before the committee.

For me ... the big Givaway was when 'Cashley' left....He'd rinsed the company for
years....Him leaving was a sign there was nothing left to milk.

"The interesting question is whether or not the Viking scuppered a debt for equity swap."

Imho a debt for equity swap would have only given existing shareholders about 1.5% of the company in any case. Presumably though the bond holders would have had to agree to it, as it stands they instead get 100% of the equity and offload the pension deficit (personally I'm unhappy that they are allowed to do that bit).

I believe that the viking said he would sue in the event the company entered administration. I doubt he will - there was no other viable option - his claim that he could refinance the bonds at a lower rate appears to have been just bluster. If there was any truth to it, then he should have been hoovering up the bonds at less than 70p in the pound.

He strikes me as someone I would be prepared to bet against in the future!

Always someone elses fault isnt it. To be fair to Sigora - case was stated v clearly. As for the chart - was clipped but close above never happened. Ce'st la vie. Sometimes things go bump in the night. Thats shares for ya!

sigora, sometimes it's better to remain quiet than to speak and, confirm to the world that you truly are the foul character that one suspected.

Oh look, there's the 'ignore' button, off to the sewer with you!

The interesting question is whether or not the Viking scuppered a debt for equity swap. Also, are the big bond holders going to dud their brethren by buying businesses out cheap and gaining more than they lose on the bonds.

Should you feel that there was any underhand dealings in wiping out ordinary shareholders, form a shareholder group. Yell wiped it's shareholders out in favour of the lenders, but the HSG is fighting for our rights. GLA.

Most predictable outcome on the markets.

Some of the pump and dumpers posts last month were a disgrace. Pushing a certain bust company onto others is shameless to say the least.

But shares in the company, which had rallied earlier this week at the prospect of a deal for the i, are now worthless and will no longer trade on the London Stock Exchange from Monday. From htfp

Yes game over - Bondholders triumph as expected but certainly did not want that.

Long term holders - Eddy and Dazza et hope you got out with something?

Pension to PPF - fortunately don’t hold shares and havent held for a long time now.
