Bumpa when I moved one of mine last summer, I spent half my time ducking under police tape, emptying his nice shoebox, just glad he sold it now and his London living experiment is out his system; his ruddy girlfriend at the time influenced him - pretty glad he dumped her too.

London traffic is so insane because everyone is out ‘n about hustling 24 7 to pay the 2 grand rent on their shoebox every month 😳

Yes, I was in London last week and the traffic was insane .. worse than ever before.
I did note that there was a lot lot more commercial vehicles - vans & trucks and both residential & commercial devleopment seems to have gone bonkers.
London is a bubble from rest of the UK though.
My concern is the BOE johnnies are all so London-centric and almost institutionalised with their time at the BOE that they really have very little clue as to what is actually going on in the real world outide London & the SE.

If they are going to set rates according to London & the SE then that suggests the rest of the UK can fall off a clifff as far as they are concerned.

As a manufacturer, I complete the monthly questionnaire for the Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index .. that dataset is pretty dire but seems to be totally ignored by the BOE - too 'grubby' for them i expect.

Looking at the number of 0% interest deals being pumped out by JCB & the headcount reduction thetre over the last 9 months, their data no great either.

Pogue yes I’ve noticed a bit, I’m up and down on the trains, once or twice a month, usually off peak mainly. Maybe those with money are still spending and keeping the economy ticking, as it’s higher end stuff selling in my game, though I’m not really doing much these days; everyone seems to fob me off on jollies so I keep out the way and don’t fall out with anyone! Whilst my missus keeps telling me to cut back on everything and retire early but that would mean her nagging me more lol

FTC news yesterday was fantastic. It goes to show that British tech and manufacturing can be world class. It is just surprising, given the fantastic engineering departments at many of our universities, that we don't have more businesses like thatMind, still only valued at £100m.

Great to see that everyone connected with PXC have finally grasped the idea that you produce a PFS BEFORE securing any finance. Huge huge step that 😂😂

Didn't the last RNS imply they stopped tunneling at Gilar to preserve cash. I mean that project has slipped from Q4 2023 to Q4 2024 which can only imply they're not working on it at present.

Bumpa' demographics are certainly changing here as well.
I have been approached by estate agents asking if I want to sell my house, I have also had my door knocked by two Chinese from Hong Cong asking the same thing !! Larger houses are selling though I have no wish yet to move.I think the big cities are changing but the country side is still the same.

Only two months to the AGM now & the opportunity to once again meet directly with the BOD ..... would expect this all to be resolved by then.

Must be getting a lot closer to the ore body now at Zafar .... Wish they'd consider putting up a dynamic 'progress' model on the website.
They will know on a dialy basis the exact location of the tunnel face relative to the ore body & using the CAD software model could post a 3-D progress map for all to see as a means of enabling investors to keep up to date imbetween these infrequent RNS.

Rigger, we have established beyond reasonable doubt (ie Bumpa still doubts) that I am not a ramper. No Pom poms but on PXC the PFS is due very soon, as are results and the AGM notice.

Nobody wants to buy or sell. Suggests a significant reaction when news arrives.I get the negative view. But with NK now secure and, presumably, the opportunity at Ordubad becoming easier to access, AAZ has a lot on its plate. Maybe the government is wondering whether it is too much. But they know that AAZ is a much better operator than Azergold. And having been a fair jurisdiction to operate in for 30 years, and thus attract a lot of inward investment, why risk that now?

I'd agree with that, the M42 around Birmingham was always my barometer, could easily get stuck for an hour or more between 7-9 most mornings, it's very rare these days. Saying that, was out with an events host based in Leeds at lunchtime Monday, she has never been so busy, I do believe her and she was taking me out as a thankyou for a client introduction. So it suggested to me companies are still spending on fluffy stuff, either that or they are just excelling at what they do compared to their peers.

Thanks for comments chaps.
Something is afoot. I've learnt to trust my gut instincts & what I see/hear around me.
The trading estate where we are based is incredibly quiet. Vehicle/lorry traffic in/out to us and other companies must be down at least 50% as compared to 6 months ago.

Just unloaded a pallet of compoentns in to us from Italy & had a quick chat with the driver. These guys drive wagons all day long and know exactly how busy the roads are and how much stuff they are collecting/delivering.
This driver hit nail on the head.
roads are quiet, even school rush hours are quieter as more people are walking because of cost of fuel. Their volumes are way down & as far as he is concerened we're heading into a big recession.
I've learnt to speak with and listen to these sort of folk - just because they drive an HGV for a living does not make them either stupid or lacking in common sense.
Movement of goods in lorries is an instant and undeniable measure of how busy an economy is.

business down here in southern Spain brisk and prices rising though changing demographic, Brits backing off, strong from the rest of Europe and further afield. Retail property.

MJ niche build developments still have a stable market, it would take a full on recession to hold them back; cost push inflation was fairly rampant since covid but it's stabilising now, with material prices falling depending on supply chain strength or weakness.

what type of business AiE, if i may ask?
It's exactly same for us and for other compaines locally in engineering, manufacturing.
& same in other countries too - Poland, Spain, Australia.

It's a very weird feeling ... the only reference i have for it is how it felt as 2008 played out. Business just slowly dried up as the year progressed
