Just reading around ...it looks like what I assume are starting bids closes on Friday on the e-auction.That will give the government of India a good idea I suppose of minium inbound funds early May.

2 thoughts.

1. Settle early to get better price

2. Get cash from auction. Invest till end. Settle for fraction of initial claim.

That in theory could wipe out any difference been auction winning bid & our claim . Thus forcing an early settlement. Obviously GoI could invest the money between now & 2027.Early settlement seems likely to me, but that is only based on my own thoughts.

We were discussing interest elsewhere.
From 2021 date of claim. Allow for 3 years for case to 2027. We could have 6 years interest.

So amount in 2027 might be 40pct higher than value of claim from 2021.

I wonder if the copper etc will ad more value to the claim. It also seems interest & damages can be included in the claim.I would be happy with brokers estimates...but it could be significantly higher.

I would be happy with a 150m gbp settlement ( even 70m gbp).

If i can get my capital back and look for the next thing that is fine.

I don't need this to knock it out the park.

I remember when LIT first took on the funding of this case, I took the time out to do a bit of analysis. Knowing the award commision structure and range of facility multiples mentioned in the RNS I produced this graphic...

My interpretation of this is that LIT were tacitly guiding to an award payout of between £350m - £450m ($440m - $560m). Of course they might have been deliberately conservative? and the longer time goes on, the higher the award should be. All imo.

There has been some discussion that we cannot move to next stage until we have waited 6 months.

I have checked with ceo and this 6m period does not apply. Per the email below.

So the decision on when to move to the next stage seems to be in our hands!!

The provision cited in your email below is Article 13(2) of the Australia-India BIT, which is a requirement that applies when there’s a dispute between the contracting parties, i.e. between Australia and India

This dispute is between an investor (Indo Gold) and a contracting party (India), which means Article 12 applies. Under Article 12, there is no codified minimum period.

Called it back in January. The treaty allows them 6 months to negotiate. NoD was 2nd Jan.

I don't get any PAT think they can ignore the 6 months specified in the treaty, but it seems they've woken up now.

Expect the notice of arbitration in July

Thanks for your input Gallamar. If GOI wish to sell the asset unencumbered ie without an ICSID case hanging over it, it's possible that they might settle. $150m comes to mind, 10x the current share price Would LCM advise accepting this level of settlement ?
You feel a placing could be on the cards. We had one in December at 5p. Waiting patiently for news on all fronts. GLA

Sigh..

Look at the trades screen.
There is a 'Type' column.
The final trade yesterday was for 310 shares at 6p, and it has a type 'UT' (uncrossing trade).
Advfn will change the 'current price' or 'closing price' to the price of a UT trade.

This is what caused the closing price to change to 6p and then back to normal again (mid-price) this morning.

God knows what that -12% was then today plus 12% ..I even checked on the official stock exchange Website...not a scooby unless big sell & big buy yet to posted up as trades.
