Results due by end April I hear. Not sure we'll get much special divided clarity. Perhaps that adds to the entire sell rumours.

Daniel My employment with XL was many years ago now and the company was very different, that was the time when they paid dividends. But I agree that it will all be sold very soon and predicted 20p tops.

Looking at the sequence of RNS over the last year, it looks like the major shareholder wants the business sold. Past RNS gives the impression they had a try and found that a US acquirer would not want the non-US assets, which have now gone. I reckon they are going to sell the lot this year, and it wouldn't surprise me at all in they are in talks right now. So tell us Shaun, as an ex-employee, what is your view on a good takeout price from here?

Tick tok.....1 month since the big news and no update the hope that XL media would stop treating shareholders like mushrooms was just wishful thinking.Let hope for the full year update is positive others this will be sub 10p again in no time.

Although I'd usually agree, changing the reporting structure and splitting the accounts takes some time. Also, they must navigate the transition of assets and finish plans on rightsizing the overhead costs and ideally take the opportunity to show the value of the US business. This is not the usual full year report. I guess it will be more end of the month or early May. However, they should communicate this to the market and set a date.

Management are dragging this one out, let's see what they can do absolutely destroy the share price one again, 100% I feel bad news is on the horizon

Use the funds to buy shares and expand if management believes in business.

A certain tip sheet is suggesting 5m US for tax. Add in 4m for final earn out and 2m for transition costs (confirmed by company),that leaves 26m US net. My view is a 15m US special divi is not out of the question ... about 4p per share.

4m final earn out, 2m transition costs, say 3m tax liabilities. Surely there is 5-10m US out of 37m to return to shareholders ?

I think most of the recent buying is because people are hoping to get a special dividend, oh the days of the XL dividend how I miss them.

Returning cash to shareholders could be either buy back, div, or both. So it could be either way.

It will be via a divi is my understanding.

Well if they buy a big chunk of shares at good rate then investors will be super happy. If the market cap at 32m pound, and they manage to buy 20% of shares and they think the USA assets worth double than the market cap then buying back shares make sense.

It does not just mean special div. Returning cash to shareholders could mean dividends or buy back shares. It’s way better to buy back shares at this rate rather than paying us taxed dividends.

The statement was very clear "returning significant cash to shareholders"Sure this will be in the full year results which I think will come next week, I predict 2p per share.

Confirmation next week that the deal has closed and triggered the initial $20m payment should move the share price Any detail on a special divi will also help.
