I've been buying this morning ..... Hoping for the continued flow of good news to carry on.... Especially the gradual recovery in advertising....

ITVx is pumping out some great shows so advertising will follow...

ITVx is one of the few places we still can get good quality FREE TV.....

Been away for a couple of weeks and was hoping to come back to some good news or at least more goldfinger rumours.

Mrs Woke has caused the carnage here. Even if she managed to rebuild the price back up to 120p in the next 6 months she would be leaving ITV in a significantly worse state than when she and her team came in.

Start offloading some of the higher paid miserable clowns on ITV like Peston, Bradby and Moaning Mary . Oh and close down Loose Women. Complete waste of time and money.

The big winners of FTSE were telecoms (and ITV of course)

I agree it’s interesting and appears a lower % of the overall volume. But the key metric for the buyback is order book volume , which i cant see.
Sorry Blackhorse but I doubt it’s new buyers.
On a day like today (big market move), there will be futures buying of the market overall that is basically rising tides lifting all boats. That would be responsible for some of the extra volume. Net net the answer to why it was a low buyback day lies with the order book volume. (Sorry I know that’s not very clear).

My understanding , new investors are in building up stakes then sellers dry down & less available stock in market as well due to to buy back

Sure Matt - it’s interesting though as so far we all thought the buyback volume was simply a mechanical x% factor of the general daily volume.

Today is unusual though - we are up almost 2% with good volume (blazing you say!) but buyback is a much lower % suddenly.

Why? Is it just about available shares?

DiamondHans yes small buyback vs the move , but take a look at global stock markets today. All blazing … I think Ftse100 all time high (& break out). So moving higher with the markets , sadly nothing more. (IMHO)

RNS just now - I am seeing the smallest daily buyback amount declared since it started right? And on a day ITV goes up almost 2%? Wow. So … rise today is NOT driven by buyback today am I right?!

netcurtains - it's a hidden endpoint to check service availability.
Rather than pinging netflix . com and having to load all the heavy files on there, you just ping this address and you know the service is up.

Psst: Why is ITVx better than Netflix?

One answer has to be because Netflix left its test page in production:
