Just wondered if anyone received anything for their shares from the administrators?

So he owns 30% of the company and has no say. Even when seeing the company going down.

Who's approval was the people that run the company?

I don't blame Andrew Black; he has supported the company financially. He owns circa 30% of the issued share capital and provided susbsequent (secured) loans to try and keep the company afloat (he couldn't subscribe for any more shares, even if he wanted to, without launching a bid for the company). He wasn't involved in the operational side of the business. This was a business that should have thrived but instead was cut off at the knees by its suppliers (the fact that one supplier, who had failed consistently to meet quota, took umbrage when we sought out an additional supplier speaks volumes) and it's banks (I don't know how they got themselves into the over securitisation mess they did and why they couldn't then extract themselves). Also, don't forget they got sued in Australia! No, I definitely don't blame Andrew Black; Moynihan was actually paid for pushing us further into the mire!

Andrew Black is the one to blame. What an incompetence. Going to do business in USA with the help of Lord and Dame. Get yanks to do the business.

Based on recent Companies House filings and the fact that the June 2020 accounts have still not been filed, it would appear that Hydrodec is now on the verge of going into liquidation; in which event, I doubt that there will be anything left for us ordinary shareholders. Still can't quite believe that it's finally come to this; I guess that it just goes to prove what I always thought - Colin Moynihan is/was an absolute berk who couldn't find sand in a desert! I thought he was an absolute chump when he was in Parliament and it would appear that nothing's changed; he still manages to be paid for being an idiot! How can you fail to source sufficient waste oil to operatate in, of all places, the USA?! Takes monumental mismanagement.

If you own shares, they are still worth whatever percentage of the company you owned before - but they are harder to value and difficult to trade, even if there is an auction facility on Asset Match.

Anyone who sees a future for them should convert their shares into certificated form which you can stick in a drawer without relying on brokers or Crest to remember who you are. That way too your name goes on the company's register of shareholders so they would have to send you any shareholder announcements.

The shares are still held/registered, but the company is no longer listed on aim.

I'd imagine they should add trading updates to their website as there is a nominal cost to do so - not so via RNS.

Whatever restrictions were preventing them reporting before are probably still doing so. The deal notwithstanding, they were at least operating at a positive level at the time of the last update.

I would hope so. Ordinarily I’d think the previous news would’ve been fairly positive for the share, if it were not temporarily suspended.

The pandemic has lowered the competition for feedstock. I don’t know how much it’s helping, just that the dynamics are better than they were. The power industry still needs Superfine, I imagine demand is still good. Business activity would’ve dropped, but lots of people at home means more household energy usage.

I don’t have a good handle on funding as we don’t know the specifics, but I’m grateful for Mr Black’s continued support. Some fear an ulterior motive. Who knows the future, but the longevity of Mr Black’s help doesn’t match a cynical master plan.

Maybe life in the old dog if they can sort finance as the technology works and seems to be getting traction if they survive
