Anyone know the timetable for the deal? The details of the Scheme of Arrangement say the Court hearing which triggers payments etc is "a date expected to be in the second half of 2018".

Seems to be a US company traded on Nasdaq? I don't have any experience of directly-held (as opposed to in managed funds) US stocks. Is this a problem? Are they easily tradable via the usual platforms? (I'm with HL).

The offer document suggests that the offer is financially attractive to CME shareholders, hence suggesting CME share price will improve in the medium/long term.

The value to current Nex shareholders is also exposed to currency fluctuations.

For example the 1000p offer was based on an exchange rate of 1.4101 $/£ wherasa the current exchange rate is about 1.347 increasing the UK value of the 500p CME share component by about 5% to give a total value of the offer of about 1025p

I think the price now reflects the slight rise of the Cme price.

I don't think it is a done deal. Another offer may come from an unexpected direction.

Bid discussions confirmed at 10 quid a share...should start a proper bidding war.Would hope we will eventually see over £11.50-12.00 quid a share with so many huge players interested in securing a prime asset.

FT talking about £10 per share. But bound to be other bidders who will come in and not let CME have a tight grip on the market.

It seems the market is pricing in a bid between 950p - 1000p imo, and there is a >90% chance of a bid materialising. Will another bidder emerge? It would certainly make things interesting. Gla. :-)

I wonder how this new value of the company at around £9.00 has been decided by the market? The longer it goes on for the more it becomes a base that they would have to offer a premium above.
