09/1/2024 18:29 | Interesting blow by blow account of the sale process in today's proxy statement document. Unfortunately we were f*@ked by Wynn reducing its online gaming operations and the law changes in Chile, otherwise we would have got $2.51/share! Seems like Sega Sammy had GAN over a barrel and duly rogered us good and proper! I would be interested to know what Bidder D's proposal was. All the other proposals are specified, except Bidder D that was deemed "not in the best interests of GANs shareholders". Was it higher than £1.97, hence the desire not to reveal it? | daveme
18/12/2023 23:16 | Interesting that GAN didn't admit to their failure at enforcing their 'wonderful' patent that was going to require all online gaming companies to pay GAN money if they wished to link up their online business with their bricks & mortar business. How many times was this highlighted as one of the pluses for the business case to invest in GAN! | daveme
18/12/2023 15:32 | SS would know that anyway. | busterdog2
18/12/2023 15:23 | I agree - declared invalid. Case turfed out. | alan@bj
18/12/2023 14:22 | It looks to me as if Gan's patent was declared invalid. | busterdog2
18/12/2023 13:35 | Can anyone explain to me following busterdog2 post, did GAN lose, or win? | mylands
18/12/2023 12:13 | Does anyone know if the patent case is still ongoing or can we assume GAN lost? | daveme
18/11/2023 15:22 | Dermot Smurfit - one name I'll avoid for ever more... | napoleon 14th
16/11/2023 08:54 | Doesn't look like many potential buyers are interested in a 38% return over 14 mnths. Seems to be indicating that the consensus view is this deal is not going to go through. | mylands
13/11/2023 23:19 | Dermot 'cashing in', selling 1.27 million shares. Can't remember how many millions he held, but it's more than 1.27 million. | mylands
09/11/2023 11:48 | Am I being too pesimistic but will this drift back down to a dollar? | mylands
08/11/2023 21:51 | Just released, at 9.33pm, to the market the announcement that Dermot is selling his stock. Now that is something that doesn't surprise me. | mylands
08/11/2023 19:35 | I just asked the question on Stocktwits Molotov - has this got any chance of success? I'm completely in the dark when it comes to U.S. corporate law | harry the haddock
08/11/2023 19:27 | Another avenue - hxxps://www.business | molatovkid
08/11/2023 19:24 | Am I missing something? I can sell now at at $1.65 ,or I can wait a year and get a 20% uplift on that? I'd be lucky to reinvest in summat that makes a 20% guarenteed return in 12 months, so I'm thinking I should just sit tight? | harry the haddock
08/11/2023 19:22 | Wouldnt be surprised if the ex-Coolbet CEO launches a takeover bid | molatovkid
08/11/2023 19:21 | hyou n me both, Molotov , you n me both | harry the haddock
08/11/2023 18:43 | daveme Well spotted, I failed to see Qtr4 being the completion date. Teach me to speed read! | mylands
08/11/2023 18:29 | The reason the current price is around $1.65 is because the sale isn't due to complete until Q4 2024, i.e. shareholders will have to wait one year before any money is received! Unless another bidder comes in, probably very unlikely, and barring any catastrophic event, GAN's shareprice will just bob along until completion. A very disappointing outcome, in particular since you could have sold GAN in August above $2, i.e. whilst the strategic review was ongoing. A leason for all not to become too attached to any share and trust the bullsh*t spewed by the management! | daveme
08/11/2023 17:18 | Sega could have done that already at a much lower price. Be interesting to see what the ex-Coolbet owner makes of this, still holding GAN stock. Posts on Stocktwits occasionally, I wonder what he has to say. Ultimately, should have sold at circa $30 obviously - thought this was going to set us up for life and got a wee bit greedy. | molatovkid
08/11/2023 14:49 | Heading south again. At what point do Sega, simply abandon the bid and just buy in the market, currently 30 cents cheaper for them? | mylands
08/11/2023 14:43 | ABSOLUTE DISASTER! as far as I'm concerned. I bought a few of these quite a while ago and need about 1000% just to break even so 95% today means nothing to me. It was a gamble, excuse the pun. What a stupid boy am I. Onwards and upwards (hopefully) from here & lesson learnt... | sabineken
08/11/2023 09:55 | DISASTER! Who would have thought that I would be glad to get $2 a share!!! 'Interesting' to see the trades being posted, while the US markets are closed, are going through at $1.75. Is the perception that the price being offered of $1.97 might be rejected, or simply take any cash while you can get it rather than wait till March 2024? | mylands |
