07/12/2021 15:09 | I had hoped for a higher offer than this. | ammons
07/12/2021 14:38 | Disappointing end.. | gargoyle2
07/12/2021 14:33 | Well that's all we've got time for... It's goodnight from U. (And it's goodnight from I). | epistrophy
30/11/2021 12:53 | Samsom Rock increasing again here today. Surely there's an improved offer on the way from LandSec? | gargoyle2

20/11/2021 11:24 | Interesting article on LandSec acquisitions in Manchester including U&I site. | scburbs
19/11/2021 12:55 | I've bought back in in view of the above. I sold out a couple of weeks ago at close to 149p. I've lost 0.2p per share by selling and buying back. The downside risk is much smaller than I'd originally imagined. | cjohn
17/11/2021 00:05 | I continue to hold for the reasons outlined above If Land sec offered tangible book value for UAI, I would be more inclined to accept | spob
16/11/2021 22:50 | Land Securities from their report are very keen to takeover UAI. Probably because the assets are worth twice as much as the offer and they will not have to pay stamp duty. With the Americans taking such a large position the bid price is dead in the water. It is pointless in issuing a £1.49 bid document offer. I think the Americans would rather liquidate the company. I notice today that Land Securities share price has really moved up. Call me cynical but I would not be surprised to see a new offer with cash and shares or even an all share offer to persuade the Americans to accept. This is just my opinion. | poacher45
16/11/2021 19:16 | The general meeting and court meeting are set for 7 December. LandSec should have a good idea before then (if they don't already) whether they will hit that 75% threshold. I can't see them hitting it given that Aberforth is now out of the picture and that there are several new shareholders, who all seem to have been buying at pretty much the bid price and so can probably be expected to vote against. So I'm hoping that before 7 December either (a) another bidder will emerge, or (b) LandSec will delay the GM and court meeting and, having discussed with the 'dissenting' shareholders, come up with a higher 'acceptable' bid. Somewhere close to the pre-covid high (180-190) would do me. | gargoyle2
16/11/2021 16:57 | LandSec irrevocables have fallen from 32% to 21% after sale by Aberforth. They are going to struggle to get to 75% if there are a load of new buyers intending to vote against. | scburbs
16/11/2021 16:39 | Brave man/woman Gargoyle. I sold out at the initial offer to avoid being too greedy - as of course any bid can always fall through. Good luck to you in your expectation of a higher bid. Fortune favours the brave as they say! | boozey
16/11/2021 15:05 | Morgan Stanley now going from 6% to 7% and a few trades over the offer price today. A higher bid on the way here imo. | gargoyle2
15/11/2021 14:37 | There seem to be a number of new shareholders that have added at around the bid price -- JPM 5.7%, Samson Rock 5.7%, Maven 3.79%, Bank of America 5.4%. I reckon they may be looking to force a higher bid. In any event, I'm hanging on fur further developments here. | gargoyle2
04/11/2021 09:35 | The deal is recommended and will go through, so it's unlikely to be that. | cjohn
03/11/2021 17:07 | That was my first thought. But maybe it's just LAND hoovering up shares to get the offer through? | epistrophy
02/11/2021 17:55 | INL is a similar bargain. | davebowler
02/11/2021 01:20 | MPO - Macau Property Opportunities had a good day today. I suspect some buyers were attracted to another property stock trading at a large discount. | apollocreed1
02/11/2021 01:16 | I'm still down 27% on this after the takeover offer. I bought about 3 years ago. | apollocreed1
01/11/2021 18:11 | Which ones are on your list? | irishmatt
01/11/2021 17:26 | Land Sec getting a bargain and they know it These are still cheap even after a 70% premium bid hey ho nevermind funds will be ploughed into my other deep value shares | spob
01/11/2021 11:40 | Absolutely! Don't think there will be many PI's that have this for a while that aren't delighted to get out at this price. | ryesloan
01/11/2021 11:34 | Deffo get out of jail card with this one | rmillaree
01/11/2021 11:11 | Still holding most of mine. Time for a victory lap! As I commented back in Feb... "I think there is a reasonable chance he will look to sell up when things normalise, like he did with Cathedral Group in his former role." "Running costs, despite the mitigations, still look pretty substantial compared to the market cap down here... a sale would certainly be one way to address this!" | epistrophy
01/11/2021 09:53 | Wonderful start to the week indeed! Well done all UAI holders. Now, where to find the next takeover target to invest the profits from here....any ideas folks? | archy147 |
