Going very quickly -

Following their appointment, the joint administrators executed a sale of Jex Engineering as a going concern to Glasgow-headquartered engineering services business Edwin James Group.

There is definitely a background story here..wonder if it will ever emerge. Yes parts of this business could have been sold off at opportune times for decent sums when the company was a going concern..not just given away for peanuts. It's a scandal.

It would seem to me that there has been no real credible information as to what exactly has gone on here..

All the RNSs so far, certainly in relation to shareholders have been vague and opaque...

So what shareholder should be asking is "what has happened" and " why has it happened"..

Without that I suggest shareholders are left pondering and in the dark..

saffy..

They've possibly been looking for a buyer for Booths for the last few weeks which is why the sale seems to have happened so quickly. The price achieved looks disappointing but there could be a short-term gap in the order book. Jordan Manufacturing will be hard to sell as a going concern but there will be people interested in picking up bits of it. Jex and Telecomms will be bargains for those who know the markets. HSBC should get their money back but it's a nasty loss for LO and Downing and a total loss for shareholders.
