31/1/2023 11:32 | Updating the thread, for the record. Flybe collapse leaves 75,000 customers in limbo: Your rights around refunds and replacement flights Domestic airline Flybe has fallen into administration for the second time Thousands of customers had flights booked and now face uncertainty We explain how Flybe customers may be able to get their money back Airline Flybe has collapsed for the second time, leaving 75,000 passengers facing uncertainty about how how to get refunds or replacement flights. Flybe was a small-scale airline with eight planes flying 21 routes to 17 destinations across the UK and Europe. But the firm said it had gone into administration in a shock announcement over the weekend. The firm employed 321 workers, 277 of whom have lost their jobs while the rest will stay on to help with winding the airline down. A Flybe statement on January 28 said: 'Flybe has now ceased trading. All Flybe flights from & to the UK are cancelled & will not be rescheduled.' However, there are several ways Flybe customers can get refunds or alternative flights. | powereddrones

04/3/2020 19:28 | whilst shareholders got totally shafted by the board last year you have to now feel for the remaining staff who have been loyal throughout and now also get let down will be interested to hear Virgin/Connect statement as to why they didn't invest what they promised to keep the airline going. | bray2
04/3/2020 18:49 | I for one will miss fly be, A great shame if it goes under but if it isn’t viable that is it, However, The only reason the new railway line is viable it is because the government is paying, On that basis they could put money into Flybe which provides essential service to many businesses and services to private people. What is so good about the railway, disaster of a project. | elmfield
17/1/2020 18:28 | Mark Anderson told Flybe staff the firm had had a few "difficult days" this week but it still had "a great future". He said the company's turnaround plan had started to work and that with more time it would be making a big profit. (WHERE HAVE WE HEARD THIS MORE THAN A FEW TIMES BEFORE ?) "The government will not lend if they do not believe there is a credible plan. No-one is going to throw good money after bad," Mr Anderson said. However, he said by the beginning of January Flybe's turnaround plan was working, with sales ahead of expectations. "We are in a vastly different place than where we were six months ago," he said. "We are not making millions of profit at the moment but if we stick to the plan, and what we have to do, we will," he said. (FLYB KEPT STATING IN THEIR RNS'S THAT THE TURNAROUND WAS WORKING) | europa79

13/8/2019 16:33 | A lot of people lost significant sums in flybe and I would also like to see some successful action taken against the firm and its relevant directors responsible for creating this situation. I don't feel however any claim or action will be taken as directors have already left the connect business. | bray2
13/8/2019 16:01 | Yeah, easier said after the event. Maybe the II’s that were involved should do the same! | europa79

01/8/2019 00:30 | Richard Branson on Twitter..... I truly believe that ‘stuff’ really does not bring happiness. Family, friends, good health and the satisfaction that comes from making a positive difference are what really matters (link: hxxps://virg.in/w2C) virg.in/w2C Well, not being in the best of health myself, would it be too much to ask for my 76k 'investment' in FLYB back because that 'stuff' sure meant a lot to me!! Also, it would definitely make a 'positive difference' to me. Thanks so much. | europa79
