13/7/2017 09:27 | Cash now arrived in both my broker accounts. End of an era. | norbert colon
11/7/2017 12:50 | Anyone received their cash yet? Not in my broker account this morning. | norbert colon
19/5/2017 17:29 | I've given up waiting for a second bid and sold out just above the offer price at 2084.1p Good luck to all that remain. :-) | hyden
01/5/2017 18:46 | Atkins board will be forced to make an announcement about the rise in sp, otherwise they will be breaking stock market rules with regard to witholding info. They must know why the share price has gone up past the offer price. If there is no reason then they need to say so. Either way, they're not looking credible. | whoppy
28/4/2017 17:41 | Market saying a counter offer could be on the cards. Let's hope so | norbert colon
28/4/2017 16:43 | Surely SNC need to pay more than 2080p. It's now 2147p | whoppy
24/4/2017 19:17 | Gonna get the share price bumped up a bit. | whoppy
24/4/2017 13:34 | Bertie No dividend will be paid as per the offer terms | norbert colon
24/4/2017 13:01 | Holders will also get final div presumably. Not that it is very big! | bigbertie
22/4/2017 19:38 | Given prior history of M&A in this sector, a counter bid is a very distinct possibility, maybe from one of the large Asian consultants. I am planning to firmly hold my stock for now. | norbert colon
22/4/2017 13:57 | yeah, bit embarassing for the directors recommending 2080p. SNC-Lavalin will be worried at seeing their offer gazumped by the market. | whoppy
22/4/2017 13:48 | Finished above the agreed takeover price... other bidders circling perhaps? | galles
21/4/2017 11:33 | 3rd Quarter Slogsweep, likely Jul / Aug imo. There is a slight prospect of another bid maybe? | hyden
21/4/2017 09:02 | 2073p is tempting since May have to wait till Xmas to get the 2080p. But may give it a week to see if another bid appears. | slogsweep
21/4/2017 07:11 | Will be interesting to see if a counter bid emerges. | norbert colon
18/4/2017 08:37 | When does Lavalin have to make a firm bid under the T/O code? | slogsweep
04/4/2017 14:37 | Thanks Darkinbad - I was reading about the corruption at SNC. Sounds dodgy brown envelopes are/were the norm. It seems SNC's largest shareholder is putting up the cash for the takeover so it must be odds on it will go through. Maybe another suitor might counterbid now it's public knowledge the board of Atkins are selling up. | whoppy
04/4/2017 14:31 | Canadian consultants seem to be cash rich. Stantec, another Canadian engineering Co bought MWH (privately held) about 12 months or so ago for a reported 65% premium. | darkinbad
04/4/2017 14:28 | They are, but they went through a bad patch about 4 years ago with some very dodgy dealings - Google "SNC Lavalin Reputation" | darkinbad
04/4/2017 14:07 | Anyone know more about SNC-Lavalin. Are they kosher? | whoppy
03/4/2017 14:17 | could not decide whether sell out now for £19.9 or wait 3 months for a possible £20.8 so sold half and let the rest run cant complain as bought at £11 a year ago | slogsweep
03/4/2017 13:59 | Sold for 2080p a share then. | whoppy
10/2/2017 12:06 | The chief executive of Atkins has hinted that his company is open to merger approaches, just weeks after reports of tie-up talks with peer CH2M Hill | whoppy
01/2/2017 08:00 | Some further details re: CH2M | norbert colon
30/1/2017 09:17 | Well they've been reorganising the business and consolidating departments to make the business structure less confusing and to leverage off each sector to try and offer a more complete client package for projects. However, I've always thought they were doing it for a sell out. The CEO is one for taking big pay and would seem he's now got the company to that stage for a lucrative offer. I can see another American outfit wanting to bid if it's now the case Atkins is up for sale. Black and Veatch won't like CH2M muscling in. | whoppy |
