Still seem to have the underlying upward drift. MXN492 for silver and MXN41215 for gold so looking likely to be medium term closing highs yet again.

FXPO a miner for the brave. If we get a sustained commodity rally or solution to the Ukraine war they could fly. Looks to be at good support, surprisingly liquid and tight spread

Not kept up with the fine details while the price has been falling here, but I think they hedged a small percentage of silver a while back, not sure if it’s expired

From memory I think it was 8% of production hedged

Shares are generally valued on 10 years plus free cashflow. Are there 10 years of currency hedges in place? My experience in gas companies hedging a few years is that it does not stop such moves but does reduce their magnitude as it covers about 1/3rd of the analysed future free cashflows. The shares still follow gas and forex prices.

Perhaps the odd fall is just an overwhelming of index selling and individual stock buying will recover it in an hour or two?

It's very curious that a spike in local gold and silver prices as MXN falls should be met with FRES selling at the open. Am I missing something?

Silver MXN505 overnight. Now MXN491. Gold MXN42655 overnight. Now 41286.

Gold has spiked briefly to these MXN values before but never maintained them. Silver has maintained prices at this level or higher only for about 10 months, from August 2020 to May 2021.

As the weeks and months pass into this precious metals spot price rally, we should be seeing evidence of more forward selling of mine production locking in these higher prices.

The forward looking parts of half yearly and quarterly reports in the sector can start to attract some generalist interest.

MXN40,877 is a new 4-year high for gold. Silver still close at MXN486.

Quite a nice hammer formation today for Fres, hopefully have a nice rise tomorrow (obviously be helped if gold and silver don't drop).
