BHP is having a go at taking over Anglo American which suggests BHP mangement would not have either the time or inclination to have a go for Solgold.

But if I get like that, I remember some various shares in the past, where a company was down on it's luck, purely because of the sector, and the shorters were at their most vile shortly before recovery.
