The UK should obviously support British companies where it can and IMO, Eden should be one of those companies. However, in commercial terms, I don't know that the UK is vitally important to Eden.

As for TMTG, all I am seeking to show via the article posted, is how far enthusiasm and identity can take you. You may well be right about a reducing valuation, makes total sense. But I suspect, because of Trump's persona and near 9 million voters to be influenced, then the valuation acknowledges both of these aspects. Even if it drops to $1 billion, it shows that there is perceived value regardless of today's income. I note they have risen again today

In Eden's case as measured by their/our market cap, there appears to be no perception of forward value which is extremely disappointing given all of their 'good' product credentials and their commercial deal with Corteva. This makes no sense to me.

In the case of TMTG and Eden, we are both now selling into a US investor base and therefore, the same opportunities are available to both companies.

The share price responds sensibly to all this BS by paid and trapped rampers.....

;D

Oh, and the directors still aren't even remotely close to buying. All purchases by them have been token ones so as to better attract the gullible idiots like A-tool.

Super,

I think it is more important that Mevalone sells shedloads in California and gets that label extension in France.

We have been told these two territories are highly profitable, so no great focus on small fry any more

Have you never even run a Ponzi, Timbo, that you have to ask this?

There's only so many mugs you can fool for so long. That's the time to cut and split.

FFS. Double-digiter maroon thinking he's "well above average".

Why ESG Investing Might Never Recover

The appeal of the moniker is waning, probably because it is trying to serve too many interests at once.

The ESG brand probably has its best days behind it.

Following a three-year craze for investment products focused on environmental, social and corporate-governance concerns, the percentage of newly created funds in the U.S. and Europe with ESG in their name has fallen from a peak of 8.3% to just 3.3%, according to an analysis of quarterly data by Morningstar Direct.

Likewise, online searches for “ESG investing” have plummeted back to mid-2019 levels, according to Google Trends. Mentions of the term in company analyst calls have dropped 59% from their quarterly peak in 2022, FactSet data suggest.

One explanation is the collapse of the clean-energy stocks most readily associated with the ESG movement. Flagging growth in electric-vehicle sales has hit sector behemoth Tesla. The S&P Global Clean Energy index, which lists solar-panel maker First Solar and Danish wind-turbine giant Vestas among its top constituents, has lost 31% since the start of 2023 as renewable-energy projects have been shelved. That compares with returns of 27% for global stocks.
