24/4/2024 20:33 | Someone needs to come up with underwater drones with a pin at the front to sink the boats before they leave France as frogs don’t seem to want to stop them.😂ԅ | grahamwales
24/4/2024 17:59 | That's what makes me laugh about the Rwanda project . Labour will just un do it . Ridiculous. Something needs to be done. If they set a rule they're sailing Into guarded waters and take action.. that is the only way the boats will stop | moontheloon

24/4/2024 12:10 | Inspired move by Linde appointing Dennis. Bringing German and UK technology closer together. Let’s not forget. Dennis Schulz, CEO of ITM Power, said: As the UK’s only commercial electrolyser manufacturer, we are welcoming this cross-border collaboration agreement. An effective hydrogen economy can only take shape if countries form alliances like this one. Germany is a very significant market for hydrogen and for ITM Power. We are currently building several hundreds of megawatts of electrolyser capacity for projects in Germany, some of which are among the biggest projects in the world. In October, we will open our new office and EU after sales hub near Frankfurt that will further strengthen our links with our customers and partners in Germany and the wider EU. | grahamwales
24/4/2024 11:57 | Nice find Graham :- "Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said: The UK and Germany are European powerhouses. Together, we are stronger – whether that is defending against Russian aggression or driving economic growth and technological advance. Today we are opening a new chapter in our relationship, one that will make us safer and more prosperous. At this dangerous moment for the world, the UK and Germany are standing side by side to preserve security and prosperity at home and across our continent. The leaders are also expected to discuss collaboration on energy and renewables, including on the export of green hydrogen from the UK and Germany, and joint efforts to tackle organised immigration crime. 24/4/2024 11:54 | We now have a great CEO. Roger Bone chairman hardly treated ITM same as a fully listed entity applying City Code promised under Cooley. We are in the dark and I suspect there is a lack of compliance . We do not have a clue as to order book or sales. Time we were treatrd to transparency | norbus
24/4/2024 10:56 | The UK has been one of RWE’s most important core markets for decades. We are committed to continuing to contribute to the UK’s ambitious renewable energy and decarbonisation targets. We intend to invest a further €8 billion in the UK by the end of this decade into commercially viable projects. Uniper, another leading German energy company, has also committed to invest a further €8 billion in green transformation projects in its main markets in Germany and the UK through 2030, including in gas-fired power plants, solar and wind parks, energy storage systems, and hydrogen production units. | grahamwales

23/4/2024 13:03 | "The Houston Ship Channel along the Gulf Coast in Texas is the global economy's petrol station. Tankers stream up and down the channel, which snakes from the Gulf of Mexico to within a few miles of downtown Houston, stopping by one of the 200-plus oil refineries, chemical plants and fuel depots that line its waters. Once filled, they carry supplies off to a world desperate for fuel amid a global energy crunch. Those facilities also pump out tens of millions of tonnes of CO₂ every year, making it one of America's largest concentrations of greenhouse gas emissions, and a challenge to a world confronting a climate crisis." | sonic25

22/4/2024 08:10 | "minimal amounts of other pollutants like carbon monoxide and particulates" Really? The writer demonstrates minimal amounts of technical knowledge. The only issue compared to fuel cells is with nitrogen oxides, obviously carbon monoxide and soot will be zero when burning hydrogen. | melton john
22/4/2024 07:36 | LPG cars have been around for years so very little difference in technology apart from no emissions. Liquid hydrogen is possibly the way forward to get the best range. | grahamwales
21/4/2024 10:18 | They also added 200gw of solar power and 60gw of wind power. They are a growing nation whilst the UK is going backwards. | grahamwales
21/4/2024 09:35 | grahamwales: Chris Stark (and the BBC) seems to have no awareness of how his ideas are harming the UK economy. We build the World's largest windfarm on the Dogger Bank aiming to produce 4.8GW of green electricity from 277 massive turbines which is great news but last year China added 40GW of coal fired power stations making a mockery of our fossil fuel reductions. So now the Chinese have cheaper electricity boosting their profit margins allowing them to undercut our exporters. Its important that we manage the transition to a green future sensibly, nurture hydrogen economy companies like ITM but not destroy the rest of our economy in an over zealous rush to net zero. | luckyswimmer3 |
